SXSW BlogNetworkCamp

Posted By Darren Rowse 28th of February 2007 Blog Networks 0 Comments

If you’re going to SXSW in a couple of weeks and want to get together with some other bloggers to talk blog networks you might be interested in the BlogNetworkCamp meetup that b5media is hosting.

Topics under discussion:

  • Better ways to pay bloggers
  • Infrastructure requirements of a growing blog network
  • How to sell ads in today’s online ad environment
  • Challenges of 2007
  • Ways to collaborate (or not)

I won’t be there but Jeremy and a few other b5’ers will be and I’m sure they’d be happy to have you along no matter what size your blog network (or potential one) is.

  1. Ya know, I was thinking about this for the last two days that why doesnt Darren talk more about blog networks and the sort? After all, it’s a natural extension to pro blogging, so it makes a lot of sense if you discuss more of that stuff here at problogger.

Or maybe I don’t keep track of what you say :)

  2. Hi Ahmed,

yes it is a topic I’ve steered away from largely – mainly because I don’t want to be accused of conflicts of interest (as I co-own/work for blog network). I also try to keep out of the discussions about the pros and cons of networks these days because to be honest I find them a little tiresome and negative. It’s a pretty competitive space and I’d rather attempt to keep to more positive topics and let those who are up for the ‘robust discussions’ that tend to go on to do their thing :-)

  3. recently find this site ..the posts are great ..for new bloggers like

Ever have a question about Google AdSense? Ever need advice on the best strategy to use for your ads? Ever want to know if you should use one ad style over another? If the answer is yes, where do you……

  6. Hi there,

I was searching the internet for SXSW schedules, and I came across your site. I just wanted to let you know about our coverage of SXSW. As the official social media sponsor of SXSW, we’ll be posting video and photos from many of the showcases, and I thought it would be of interest for you and your users! We’ve already got video, music playlists from labels, and music.
