Posted By Darren Rowse 15th of February 2006 Blogging Tools and Services 0 Comments

StickamIt seems a new service is being launched every day being aimed at bloggers and today’s startup release is Stickam (not quite live yet but scheduled to launch today).

Download Squad describe it as ‘a simple Flash tool for embedding video, pics, and audio in your website.’

They give up to 500MB of storage and there are no bandwidth restrictions – for free.

  1. That site kinda freaks me out with the live webcam thing. You can just watch people on their webcams. It feels awkward.
    I’ll never get a webcam.

Darren, would you just let people stare at you on your webcam?
    Would anyone?
Or am I just really nuts/paranoid for thinking this is weird?

  2. I think there are people who do that for a living ;-)

  3. That webcam thing was creepy. A couple of them were practically dead and a few others couldn’t control their exhibitions of ‘talent’.
Like rapping or making incomprehensible static and feedback.
Pass me another six-pack and line me up a webcam – I’m famous!
Didn’t see any skin – probably a rule about that.

  4. I’ve actually added one of these to Webfeed Central. It is a little “gimmicky”, but I felt that I had to give it a shot. I haven’t had any comments, one way or the other, but I have met a few people of the “non-freaky” kind, so far.

  5. Thank you for joining Stickam. My name is Mayumi and I am working for Stickam. We are currently working on many new features.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions for improving our site.
    Best Regards,
