Last week when I announced the release of ProBlogger the Book I mentioned that we’d be making the first chapter (the Introduction and chapter 1) available as a sampler download.
It took us a few days longer than we anticipated to get it up but it’s now available.
To get it all you need to do is go to the book site, sign up for our weekly blog tips newsletter and you’ll get the opportunity to download the pdf sampler instantly. You’ll also get a weekly blog tip emailed to you – although you’re free to unsubscribe from that at any point.
Those who already subscribed to the list should have received an email in the last few hours with instructions on how to get the pdf.
The download is 37 pages (including a few title ones) and will give you a good taste of what the full book is like (including the table of contents so you can see what else is covered).
Also – I wanted to give a public thank you to another Chris Garrett (it’s confusing that there are two UK bloggers by the same name). This Chris is a blog designer who designed the ProBlogger Book page. Thanks mate!
Lastly – I want to thank the many readers who have already purchased the book and who have been promoting it on their own blogs. On the day we announced it we got into the low 400’s in terms of the highest selling book on Amazon (I wish I’d taken a screen cap) which was pretty exciting seeing as the book wasn’t available for another 3 weeks.
Don’t forget that the book is pretty heavily discounted at Amazon ($16.49) and Barnes and Noble ($18.74) at the moment during the ‘Pre-Order’ phase.
I started taking screen captures but didn’t want to annoy all the people following my flickr screen so ended at two, I understand it went even higher after I went to bed. Probably for the best, I don’t need yet another stat to become addicted to! :)

The book sounds great, but does it include information on selling blogs? i.e. valuing the blog, finding a buyer or a broker to help you sell, etc.
NZ Reality TV – yes there’s a whole chapter on buying and selling blogs – chapter 6 and 20 or so pages.

I think it’s very smart of you to provide a teaser chapter for free from your book. You may also consider using a new service that just launched into beta – Ads for Adobe PDF. This is a free service that matches contextual ads to your PDFs and you generate revenue from the ad clicks. Think of it as Google AdSense for your PDFs. This could be a way for you to generate some additional revenue for your content beyond just the book sale. You can check it out at:

Just ordered it on Amazon. Planning to use Amazon affiliate links as well. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. For some weird reason though, I kept thinking it was an e-book in spite of “Wiley” staring me in the face all the while ! Finally hit me when I saw “Paperback” on Amazon… :)
