Offers for Bloggers That Will Expire Soon

Posted By Darren Rowse 28th of July 2008 ProBlogger Site News 0 Comments

Over the last few weeks there have been a number of offers and deals for bloggers – some exclusive to you as Problogger readers.

As some of these expire at the end of the month I thought I’d give a brief recap of three of them with cut of dates that are approaching:

  1. $100 Signup Bonus from ChitikaChitika are offering all new publishers who sign up through ProBlogger the chance to earn up to $100 as a signup bonus. Any new publisher signing up with them will have their earnings up until the end of August doubled – dollar for dollar – to a maximum bonus of $100. This is a good deal for anyone who has applied to join Chitika previous but who wasn’t accepted into the program because they’ve now widened the type of blogs they can monetize and are accepting more applications than previously (read more about this deal). Sign up for this offer here.
  2. Pepperjam Network Offer $10 SignUp Bonus – The Pepperjam Affiliate Network is offering all new publishers a signup bonus of $10 for all those bloggers who sign up in the month of July – there’s just a few days to go on this one (read more). Signup for this deal here.
  3. TeachingSells to Close Doors – The TeachingSells course will close it’s doors to new members in the coming days (midnight on 31 July). It will open again at some point but at a higher price point so this is your last chance to get in at current prices (read more about this).

Get notice of more deals like these (plus other exclusive ones to subscribers) by signing up for the ProBlogger weekly email newsletter. I’ll announce a new competition in this newsletter in the next day or two.

  1. Thanks for the information!

  2. Thanks Darren, sounds great

  3. As always informative..and an un selfish aproach to helping all bloggers alike.

    Thanks Darren

  4. Thanks for sharing these offers with us; how useful.

  5. As an FYI to anyone reading this and clicking on the first “related posts” link about renewing your domain name, Darren wrote that two years ago. What he didn’t include (and couldn’t know at the time) is the continuing relevance of renewing your domain name.

In essence, Google’s index and PageRank algorithm are based in part on a 2005 U.S. patent that will deduct points for you if you don’t have a multi-year domain registration on file.

See Buzzle for the facts in reference to the actual patent text here.

  6. Thanks for the great info….

  7. Fantastic offers. Thanks for the reminder; I’m sure I’m not the only procrastinator here.

  8. Thanks for the heads up. There are some good deals there.

  9. Thanks but I think PepperJam seems to be a real scam as I promoted them in several of my blogs and got about 6 referrers but after two weeks. They sent me a message saying that I have been revoked from the program and all of my referrals disappeared. It is so tricky.

I contacted them and no reply so far.

Anyway, you guys should be careful with them

  10. I am not sure what happened to Tinh, but I signed up with Pepperjam and have since replaced all my Google Adsense and Google Referral ads. The problem I was having with Adsense is that when I wrote a negative post about something (in my case, a particular New Age phenomenon), Adsense started spitting out nothing but ads FOR that something. Not something I appreciate when I am trying to build credibility. PepperjamADS are text referral ads that you get to choose — you get to approve or nix every single one. They have a lot of referral partners in most categories, too.

The $20 bonus is nice too (not sure why I got $20; because I use them on two sites? a mistake?).

  11. Thanks darren for your information.Thanks.

  12. Yes, I have been invited to join their affiliate program from my publisher account. I read the post on Problogger and PJN CEO said that current publishers could earn 7$ for every new publishers they refer to PJN. I replaced adsense with PJN text and banners and got 7 new publishers after two weeks running, but you know. I got a message that said I have been revoked without any reasons. I did nothing wrong, just put code and what happened was what I said.

My advice is that you should think carefully before you would like to promote them as you will have the same problem like me.

  13. Darren thats a million $ info. thank you. And Hows is u r new baby?

  14. Don’t think I will take you up on any of these offers today. But thanks for letting me know

  15. Thanks Darren, just submitted an application for the chikita account.

  16. Tinh,

Your account was revoked and your commisions were reversed based on a decision made by multiple people on the Pepperjam Network Quality Team.

It is very rare when this happens, but it happens for a reason.

I understand it is frustrating to you personally and for that I’m sorry.

However, we’ve added thousands of approved and qualified affiliates and paid out thousands of dollars in commissions as a result of the PJN Referral program.

We wish you the best of luck and again apologize that you were removed from our program for quality reasons.

    Kris Jones
    CEO,
    Pepperjam

  17. Good info – thanks for the info as always, Darren.

  18. Darren, I am pretty new to monetized blogging. I am finding your site to be hugely helpful. Thanks for posts like these and for your newsletter.

I’m also excited about the upcoming writing project. ‘Til then…

    Adam

  19. Hi Kris, thanks for information. I am not against to your policies but the quality team should give me the clarifications to show me the reasons. S/he did not share with me anything, just a short message and asked me the methods that I promoted PJN. I showed him and I used the same way like Darren does here in ProBlogger. KIs that wrong? Thanks
