Keeping Your Blog Fresh [Interview]

Posted By Darren Rowse 14th of October 2010 Miscellaneous Blog Tips 12

Last week I recorded this short interview with Phil Dobbie from BNET. We covered a range of topics. including keeping your blog fresh, standing out in the crowd, maintaining your voice, sustaining your blog over the long haul, using controversy and a lot more. For a 13 minute interview we sure covered a lot of ground.

  1. Just loved the interview. Got many new things to learn from that.

  2. Many good points. It sure can be difficult to stand out with all the blogs on the web. I think FaceBook has changed blogging in that FaceBook brought more people to the web.

Consistency and just being yourself are the best points. A little controversy never hurts as well! Thanks for the podcast.

  3. Darren,

I like what you had to say about building up a blog and then seeing what kind of content performs best and then maybe starting a new blog based on that niche and seeing what happens.

That’s a good idea and I think it’s something more people should try.

    Good interview btw!

  4. I’m sure it’s a good interview, but could you please transcribe it just like you do for videos?

  5. Entertaining interview with lots of great points – loved the first one about thinking everyone was bigger than you when you started. Also loved what you said about making a difference to people who read and staying youthful!

  6. If it’s possible to you transcribe it into text, that was great for me, thanks!

  7. Lot of great information here that it’s just hard to remember them all at once.

  8. Great interview. Would also like to see it transcribed. Such great tips. Couldn’t write fast enough!

  9. Great interview, always reminding us how to stay on track. Thanks!

  10. interview is good but geeting a job is better than interview

  11. the interview is so great, helpful and i have to keep them in mind
