  1. Hi Darren, thank you for your post. I learned more experiences about blogging, marketing when I read your blog. They are great and useful for blogger. I hope to receive more valuable posts in 2015. Keep your sharing !

  2. You shared most popular post here and many of them lean about great content and popular all the time and I am one of them to get great ideas for blogging content. thanks

  3. That last one is key: even if you have a niche site for the sole purpose of getting sponsored posts, what is the use if the content posted is useless garbage?

  4. Your number 5 was the best for me “useful content is king”.

  5. The good thing about publishing content daily to your blog or website is the ability to improve your overall search engine optimization as you go along. It takes time to perfect content marketing. Good SEO will bring traffic to a blog or website in years to come. The content creators should automatically have a long-term vision in your mind of making their site useful with rich content which will entice readers to share on social networks time and time again.

  6. Great collection of popular blog posts.
They especially liked the Second post. That was a great blog post by Darren. In that post, he has highlighted the importance of analyzing other blog posts. That caught my attention.
Great reviewing tips are also mentioned in the blog post.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers.

  7. Hi Stacey,

That 10 minute tip is brilliant. I do it, almost daily, just scouring other blogs for inspiration.

As Darren mentions the secret isn’t to necessarily take ideas from other blogs to use for yourself. Nope, you’ll generally find inspiration or a spark for change from viewing other blogs.

As for me, I look at Problogger regularly. I note the scrolling sidebar, the style of the blog, the layout, bullet points, headers and all that good stuff. I may adopt an element or 2 here and there of course, but I still make my blog, my blog, which is built around Blogging from Paradise. I sell a different dream but I’m still a blogging tips themed blog and I guess I’m one of the few guys who actually teaches how to blog, so maybe I can stick out a bit more in that regard.

Just this morning I did a fair amount of blog study. Turns out my blog’s energy – and mine – was flagging for a bit, and I needed to get back to selling the dream both on my blog and through my social media updates. I reviewed a few luxury travel blogs – and commented on them of course – to get a feel for what they had to offer, and to see why so many of these folks are successful.

I also know that appealing to a bigger ticket, freer spending audience could benefit me too; hence the comments and social shares. But anyway, I reviewed these blogs to see patterns, designs and the cause and effect thing in action.

This most popular blog post series is another fine example of reviewing in action Stacey, because I patiently looked through a series of these posts to spot patterns. Why were they the most popular? I think the headlines rocks, and also, each post tackles a pressing problem faced by most struggling, or even successful, bloggers.

That’s likely why these posts are so darn popular. The thing is, they are simple as pie to read and to understand, which also gives me another clue into how I can present my content.

Success really does leave clues, and if you’re willing to soak them up, and to gain inspiration from the successes of other bloggers you can create quite the epic blog yourself. It’s also like a passive blogging mastermind when you think about it, observing other blogs and learning from fellow pros.

Stacey, loved that post and I enjoyed this series. Thanks so much for sharing!

    I’ll tweet this now.

    Ryan

  8. As someone relatively new to the site, this is a great round-up post! Especially love number 5 as noted above. Useful content that people actually want to share and talk about is definitely better and will help your blog grow. Thanks
