Third Tribe is Closing to New Members—Join Us Before Friday, April 1

No, it’s not an April Fool’s joke: we’re closing our flagship community, the Third Tribe, to new members on April 1, 2011 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (U.S.).

If you’re not familiar with Third Tribe, it’s a community that I co-founded in 2010 with Brian Clark (Copyblogger), Sonia Simone (Remarkable Communication), and Chris Brogan ( We built it to provide a learning and networking opportunity for internet marketers who wanted cutting-edge information about how to grow their sites—without the high-pressure hype or “black hat” techniques you see on some other sites.

We took the most effective techniques from Internet marketing and blended them with the content-rich, community-building style of the social media crowd.

Learn more about Third Tribe.

What can you get from Third Tribe?

  • Each month, you get at least one audio seminar on an essential marketing or business technique. We talk about SEO, social media marketing, blog monetization, affiliate marketing, and heaps more. Implement what you learn in the seminars and you’ll start to see real growth in your business. Full transcripts are provided, as well as “Next Action” worksheets that will give you the next steps to take.
  • Each month you also get two Q&A sessions with Tribe founders. These are fantastic “mini consulting” sessions where you can get specific advice that relates to your own business. Imagine stopping any of the four founders in a conference hallway and getting five or ten minutes of our undivided attention to address your business question. That’s what the Q&A sessions do for our Tribers … twice every month.
  • 24/7 access to a thriving community of online marketers. Ask questions, get feedback, form JV partnerships, or just ask your pals for a “Like” on that Facebook page. When things get tough, it’s great to know you have peers and friends who have your back.

If you’d like a taste of some of our seminar content, we’ve prepared a “free sample” for you. This case study was a bonus seminar for this month, with Sonia Simone grilling Third Triber Shane Ketterman on how he grew his niche site from zero to 10,000 unique visitors a day … in seven months.

Zero to 10K: A Case Study.

Even if you don’t join the Tribe, do yourself a favor and download the case study. It’s filled with lessons you can apply right away to your own sites. (For example, he has a nice technique for using AdSense to quickly find the most profitable corner of your blog.)

So why is the Tribe closing down?

It’s not really closing—it’s being transformed into something bigger and better. And … yes … more expensive.

That’s why this is great opportunity to come into the Tribe. Join today and you’ll get in at the best possible price, plus you get instant access to more than 24 hours of archived seminar content.

No, the Tribe isn’t the cheapest resource you’ll find. But if you’re serious about treating your blog as a business, it’s an investment that can repay you many times over.

I hope you’ll come join us in the Third Tribe today. Remember, the site will close to new members on April 1, 2011, at 5:00 PM Eastern (U.S.) Time. Don’t get locked out—you’ll never be able to join at this price again.

I had a feeling this day might come at some point. I still remember all the hype around The Third Tribe when you first launched it. Fun times!

  2. Himanshu says:

wish it was free. try to extend the offer so that i can opt in

  3. Have never heard of it before so something I’ll have to look into fast!

  4. Andy Nattan says:
    • Darren Rowse says:

Andy – lol, that was last year’s April fools joke which was certainly a joke – but this time it’s actually a real announcement – I promise :-)

    • Sonia Simone says:

Yeah, we couldn’t believe the timing either. :) But honest, this time we’re not fooling.

(We do have amusements prepared for everyone on April 1, just not this.)

  5. As a past member of the Third Tribe I can say there is a great community in there that is very supportive.

    • Darren Rowse says:

Thanks Daryle – its the community part that I think most people enjoy the most. Thanks for the feedback.

    • Sonia Simone says:

The community is amazing — I’m really impressed that it’s so supportive, given that it’s also quite big.

My vote for “most valuable bit” actually goes to the Q&As. But we try hard to make the whole thing as good as we possibly can. :)

Then again, I’m kind of biased. :) Third Tribe is very dear to my heart.

  6. Techsavvy says:

Well i didnt liked third tribe much..Nothing there that i didnt knew anyway, but that is me maybe others will like it :)

    • Darren Rowse says:

Techsavvy – 3T is certainly not something that we’d claim will suit everyone’s needs. Thanks for trying it though!

  7. 3Rhino says:

I just purchased the deal at Regarding Third Tribe, it says “Your 1-month membership gets you instant access to hours of in-depth seminars, a vibrant networking community, and live Q&A calls.” Does this qualify as joining before April 1 if I decide to renew after the first month?

  8. Kate Kutny says:

I wish I could afford being part of the Third Tribe, but I can’t. I know it would have been a wonderful opportunity and a great learning experience. I wish others much happiness when joining it.

  9. Mike says:

Think I’ll go and sign up before its too late, thanks

  10. Scather says:

Darren, I really appreciate you taking the time to read my post about the Blog For Good event. Thank you for the awesome night you put on, and I hope that my comments are of some use. I really enjoyed your book and your talk – and I’m downloading the case study now!

  11. Jackon says:

I hope I do not miss the chance thanks for sharing!

  12. pikesan says:

Sonia and Darren, I’m big fans of and refer it all the time. However, my niche is automotive so I find content hit or miss. Are there other bloggers/writers/entrepreneurs at Thirdtribe that aren’t making blogs about making blogs to market blogs about sales?
    Who’s driving a hot rod?!
I think I better role the dice on this either way…

    • Sonia Simone says:

I don’t know of any automotive businesses in 3T, but we have fitness studio owners, a same-day courier, designers, copywriters, a guy in the LA entertainment industry, video producers, some software developers, gardeners and garden designers, a boat rental company, some photography sites, a financial literacy educator …

      You get the idea. :)

    • Sonia Simone says:

(awesome question, by the way, thank you for asking it.)
