Scribe 3.0 Launched Today

Posted By Darren Rowse 30th of September 2010 Pro Blogging News 0 Comments

SEO Copywriting Made SimpleOne of the popular premium plugins that I know many ProBlogger readers use is Scribe. This plugin (for WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal) is designed to help your posts rank well in search engines—without compromising the quality of your posts.

Developed by the team at CopyBlogger, Scribe has gone through a number of updates that have added new features and functionality.

Today it has been updated to version 3.0, and it now covers pretty much all of the fundamentals of SEO—not just some of them.

Search engine-optimized posts—without compromised readability

The great thing about previous versions (and the new one) is that Scribe doesn’t just create search engine-optimized content: it works with your own content, written for your readers. It works to optimize your unique posts.

This leaves you with compelling and useful content that has been optimized for search engines, rather than search engine-optimized content that doesn’t really help anyone.

In the update, we now have:

  • an integrated keyword research tool (meaning you no longer have to use a separate tool)
  • a new link-building tool.

These features help you get a little more strategic about your relationship building with other bloggers, and cross-linking your content within your own blog.

Try it free

Scribe is a great tool with many features, but in the end you’ll only really understand it once you try it for yourself. The good thing about Scribe is that while it’s a premium/paid plugin, you can try it free by signing up and then, if you decide it’s not for you, canceling your subscription within the first 30 days and asking for a refund (something they honor every time).

They also have a great limited-time ‘STEPUP’ promotion going on. This lets you increase the number of monthly content evaluations you can access. Details of the offer are on this page.

  1. Thanks for the information. Now that a keyword research tool has been integrated, writing optimized post with relevant keywords will be very easy.

  2. Woo Hoo! I love Scribe – mainly because of one of the reasons you mention, Darren… it allows me to write for human beings first, search engines second.

I’m off to check out the update.

  3. Darren, would you need this plugin if you use market samurai?

    Im considering my options….

    • Craig – they do have some overlap, particularly in the keyword research tools although Scribe is good for taking your content that is already written and shaping it. Market Samurai is great on the research front and the monitoring of how well posts are doing after you’ve written them as well as analyzing the competition.

  4. That’s great news. Can’t wait to try it out!

  5. I’ve heard about Scribe a few times…. sounds like it could come in really handy. Hmm.. :)

  6. Thanks for the info Darren.

  7. I tried Scribe, but it doesn’t really support my language (swedish), so only parts of the functions are useful. Will there be a fix for that to? Because I love to tool (and the pricing).

  8. If you can try it for free… how can you get your money back?

“you can try it free by signing up and then, if you decide it’s not for you, canceling your subscription within the first 30 days and asking for a refund (something they honor every time).”

  9. Scribe is outstanding – I use it on most of my blogs and have had a lot of success. I’m actually going to add it to the rest of them today. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with this plugin/system. It’s easy to use and the rewards will exceed what you’d hoped for.

  10. For what it’s worth, I tried Scribe for a few months earlier in the year and I canceled my subscription in favor of Market Samurai.

My biggest gripe at the time was that there was really poor analysis on what other sites were doing (competition) which is a lot of what SEO is about in my opinion.

It focuses mainly on “on page” optimization which is important, but at the end of the day you can optimize the crap out of your page and still be way down in rankings if you don’t know what others are doing.

Plus, frankly, the subscription price is really expensive.

  11. I’m sorry… maybe I misunderstand something, but I’ve been running version 3.0.6 for quite a while, keyword research tool and all.
I think Scribe is awesome, worth every penny, but I have my doubts that version 3.0 was launched today…

Again, Scribe is absolutely awesome – I can it recommend it to anyone who is serious about their blogging. My search-engine visitors doubled after I started using it regularly.

  12. Hi Darren,

It looks like a cool plugin and I will likely give it a test. My main question, which I will also pose to the maker, what kind of increases can I expect to see within the first month — the trial period.

  13. Funny thing. My search engine visitor rates climbed a lot when I stopped worrying about searc engines. I still try to include keywords in title and first paragraph intemitionally, but that’s it.

Rest of it comes naturally and I guess google will honour this type of writing more and more in the future. I mean – their goal is to provide best written not best optimized content, right?

  14. thank you very much for the post, your information about scribe has been really helpful, for me being a starter..would like to have more from you.

  15. Launching new version is really a great tool for the marketing. Get more business and more clients.

But however I am sure they have added many new features which will make this plugin more special.

  16. Thanks for the information. Scribe 3.0 is going to be a hit because it makes things simple. We can all use a little more simplicity in our lives.

  17. yes, i think new version is really a great tool for the marketing. Get more business and more clients.

so you should look for new e commerce systems.

  18. Hi Darren,

I personally think that thesis theme is already doing a great job, most of my blog traffic comes from Google search engine. Also, they are keep updating thesis theme to make it even better.
