Update from Third Tribe – Now 20 Hours of Quality Teaching

It’s been a while since I posted an update on Third Tribe – so today I wanted to do just that.

Since launching Third Tribe a few months back there have been some wonderful things happening in the community. The highlight for me personally has been the forum area and the relationships that have emerged there as well as the ideas that are being shared.

My hope for 3T when it launched was that we’d see thousands of internet entrepreneurs coming together to learn, share and help one another move forward. While we all have our own goals and approaches, my hope was that by coming together we’d see a collective movement forward towards our goals. This is what I’m seeing happening.

The great thing about the forum area is that even as a more experienced internet marketer I’m seeing ideas and discussions there that are inspiring me to try new approaches in my business. I know I’ve made quite a few significant changes in the selling of my own online products as a direct result of what I’m seeing others talk about in the forum.

Hours of Quality Seminars and Q&A

In addition to the forum area we’ve also seen some great seminars (audio and transcripts) added so far. These include:

  • Product Launch Strategies: What Always Works and What’s Working in 2010 – Jeff Walker interviewed by Sonia Simone
  • Action Email: Copywriting Tips for Insanely Effective Email Marketing – Dave Navaro interviewed by Sonia Simone
  • How to Get Your Customers to Do Your Best Marketing for You – John Jantsch interviewed by Chris Brogan
  • Email Marketing Strategies that Work – Sonia Simone interviewed by Brian Clark
  • Building a Business Around a Blog: Part One – Darren Rowse interviewed by Brian Clark
  • Building a Business Around a Blog: Part Two – Chris Brogan interviewed by Sonia Simone
  • Building a Business Around a Blog: Part Thrree – Brian Clark interviewed by Sonia Simone
  • Building a Business Around a Blog: Part Four – Leo Babauta interviewed by Darren Rowse
  • The Quick Start Guide to Making Money Online – Johnny B Truant interviewed by Sonia Simone

While we launched 3T with just one seminar and a forum today you’ve literally got hours of teaching in the archives ready to go. We’ve also done 2 live Q&A calls per month (total of 6) which have been a lot of fun. These included a great ‘getting unstuck’ call with Gary Barnes. All of these sessions are recorded and in the archives too.

In terms of content going forward – there’s a lot to come including these two seminars in May:

  • Advanced Affiliate Marketing with Social Media and SEO – featuring Glen Allsopp
  • Traffic Jam: Brian Clark and Jon Morrow on Traffic-Building Strategies

The cool thing about Third Tribe is that if you join today you get access to the full archive of seminars and Q&A calls – literally hours and hours of valuable content. Each month there are 4 new recordings added – it’s becoming a great little library of resources for Web Entrepreneurs.

However do keep in mind that as we add content and value it is likely that we’ll also increase the price (as we’ve already done once). Those who sign up earlier lock themselves in at the current rate so the longer you wait to join the higher the price goes.

If you’ve been thinking about giving Third Tribe a go – it’s a great time to join – hope to see you on the inside!

  1. Darren,

You guys have really outdone yourselves with this. The value of the Third Tribe keeps getting higher and higher. Pretty soon this thing is going to be priceless.

  2. @ Joshua

Thanks for your insight on this, it is something you read on but it’s great to see others as well benefiting from this piece. Especially if you state it is going to be “PRICELESS” , just not sure if I will be able to afford that price.

    Thanks,

  3. As a relatively new person to online marketing, I’m inspired and kicked in the butt by hanging out with Third Tribers. Though a bit overwhelming at first, I’ve made some great connections on the forums. You give a little of yourself and your experience, you get a lot in return: Encouragement plus accountability.

But, I get the most value from the seminars, where I learn specific, usable information about building an online business and getting to the “next level” with action plans and tools. (No fluff.)

I think of the subscription fee in terms of taking my mentor out to lunch once a month and getting immersed in all her knowledge and first-hand experience.

    • Darren Rowse says:

Marlene – great feedback. If you have any ideas on how to make it less overwhelming please feel free to shoot me or one of the other founders a note.

  4. Ishan says:

Well, I have been thinking about joining it for some time but never got time from other things.
I have read lot of good things about The Third Tribe and maybe, I will join it. I am using “maybe” because I am still split 50-50 because of price!

    • Darren Rowse says:

Ishan – no pressure to join but if you want to taste and see if its for you there’s a couple of options to keep in mind:

      1. you can always join for one month and end the subscription after that and pay no more – you get access to everything in the archives in that month as well as the forum which gives you a real opportunity to work out if it’s right for you.

      2. if you join and find that it’s so far off being right for you and you get absolutely no value from it you’re welcome to use the money back guarantee.

Most people who decide not to continue just go for option 1 as they do get at least some value from it but if you join and feel it’s not delivered anything – you’re welcome to go with #2.

  5. I wish to join the bloggers community too but I had no clue that it would be so lucrative till I read this article. Great post
    Keep it up.
    Aaron

  6. The forum is definitely the best part. Granted the cost is a little daunting, but what you get is a troll free, spam free forum where there are people who are genuinely interested in helping each other out. It’s probably the best forum experience I have ever had.

The seminars come in a a close second, not only because you get to listen to the experts give advice, but you also get a handy worksheet so you can practice the methods discussed and apply them to your own blog or business.

All in all, great value, especially for those of us lucky enough to sign up early on at the lower price!

  7. Hey Darren,

I’ve followed your blog and those of your fellow-Tribers for sometime, though I’ve never felt an urge to join your membership site.

Maybe it’s just me, but the way your membership is ‘sold’ on the website of the Third Tribe doesn’t do anything to me at all.

What I did want to comment on is the presentation style of that website. It’s nice to have the info packed into tabs and only readable when I click on it. I hate those longform salesletters that are full of fluff… 99% of them are boring as hell!

    • Darren Rowse says:

Dave Lianelli – thanks for the feedback on the tabbed style sales page. We’ve had a lot of very positive feedback on that. I like it too, gives people an option to view the bits they want.

No problem on not having an urge to join. Interestingly its those who do feel the ‘urge’ that seem to benefit most so I’d support your reaction to it – if there’s no urge you’re probably best to spend your time investing into places you do feel more connection.

  8. Tyler says:

I’ve always been a fan of the warrior forums. You can get alot of help over there at no cost to you. Though, there are some people who try to take advantage and scam people.

I might try the third tribe some day but not anytime soon. I just can’t afford the cost and would want earnings from my blog to pay for them.

    • Darren Rowse says:

Tyler – forms can be great although the scammers can be a pain. It’s one of the reasons we made this a private forum, we come down on them pretty hard in 3T. Understand about the cost – keep at it and enjoying the free content and community here on ProBlogger and other blogs and hopefully in time you’ll see your income grow to a point where this type of thing is an option.

  9. Joshua Noerr says:

I’ve been putting off joining 3T for too long. I think I may have just been convinced…

  10. Aaron T says:

I’m waiting until my blog takes off (Darren…you know how I commented on yesterday’s post, asking how long it’d take for me to get 100+ visitors a day? Today’s that day!!) and I get revenue from it to join…

  11. …me too!

  12. John Soares says:

I’ve been a member since Third Tribe first opened.

I’m starting to peruse the forums more, and there is a lot of useful information there.

I personally have gotten the most useful information from the Q and A sessions done by the principals and distributed as mp3s and PDF files.

    • Darren Rowse says:

Joh Soares – it’s great that you’re finding the Q&A useful. It’s funny actually how everyone I talk to likes it for a different reason. For some it’s the forums that they find the value in, for others the seminars and for others the Q&A. Glad we did all 3 components as they seem to connect with different people.

  13. I’m still not convinced it will be useful.

    • Darren Rowse says:

Technology Slice – if you’re not convinced then feel free to pass. We’re putting it out there for people who’ll find it useful and giving the opportunity to taste and see with the money back guarantee, but if it’s not where you’re at you’re more than welcome to let it pass.

  14. Darren Rowse interviewed by Brian Clark?? where could i find this?? i am unable to find it’s link. help?

  15. Good day Darren number 2 LOL ! And fellow Third Triber! Hey in addition to the hours of recording the BEST part is the great discussions in the forum.

  16. Fran Civile says:

    Hey Darren,
I’m glad I joined TT right at the start! I was too busy to
spend much time in the forum until just recently … but
    that is improving…

Besides enjoying all the resources, I really like the presenters!

  17. Michele says:

So what if I don’t have a product. Will this help me figure out how to *start* a business or is this more for people with a business to begin marketing their business on the internet? I may need to join for the trial month to see what this all about!

  18. Issac Maez says:

I saw this blog and just had to share my experience with Summerhouse on Everett Bay, near Wilmington NC. We first heard about this amazing community on the Intracoastal Waterway, across from Topsail Beach, back in 2006. Back then, these beautiful homesites were very expensive and out of our price range, but we loved the area and the community. They have an amazing clubhouse, access to the Intracoastal Waterway, open areas for kids to play and it is just the perfect setting to build a coastal cottage style house. Even though we could not afford to buy a lot on the ICW, we have still kept an eye on the progress at Summerhouse on Everett Bay. To our amazement we just learned about a new limited time program they have going on. In order to kick off their spring season they have 6 waterfront homesites that are being sold for 80% off the original price!! That is $580,000 LESS than they were asking 2 years ago for the same type of homesites. Needless to say, this is an amazing opportunity to build a dream home in a fantastic waterfront community for pennies on the dollar. They also have some bank owned and foreclosure properties for less than $15,000 but they are not waterfront.
