Advice for Bloggers: Karate Kid Style

After a week off I found it a little hard to get myself going again this morning. So I procrastinated on Twitter by posting some adapted Karate Kid quotes with some pics. It never was intended to be anything more than just the first one…. but my followers kind of egged me on (shifting the blame).

Here are the pics I pumped out over about 10 minutes – I thought putting them together into a post might serve as a permanent and public reminder of the dangers of wasting time on Twitter (a great lesson for bloggers going into the new year.

Karate kid philosophy applied to blogging. I think this is all I need. No more blogging ebooks for me.

  5. Haha Funny post Darren, I think procrastination is my speciality, I am always getting distracted when I am meant to be working on my blog. I think social media sites are the biggest distraction of all, many a time I get lost in Facebook and forget about what I am meant to be doing! Anyway back to work…

Now that’s a great way to start a Monday morning. I’m curious about the first picture though Darren. That blogging position looks like your typing with your toes. If so, you are indeed talented. lol

That’s too funny, and these photo with text are pretty cool.

  24. haha, this is so funny, but on the other side, your really transformed all the characteristic karate kid series principles to blogging.

I especially liked that last one, just yesterday I watched karate kid 3, it reminiscences a lot.

However, I think you should come up with something related to the bonsai trees. You know those little trees that mr. miyagi takes care of all the time…

    “Never Put Passion before Principle”.
I totally agree with you Darren. I sometimes get so passionate in writing my articles, but sometimes I forgot the principle rules in making a good content, including making unnecessary grammatical errors, not thinking from the visitors point of view, etc.

And this post is very innovative and provocative.

  32. Funny pictures man.

  33. That’s real talent! Looks like you are still procrastinating and enjoying the break…

I guess it is okay to take a break once a while…

    Problogger Version:
Friend: Wouldn’t a “real job” be easier?
