Discover How to Build Profitable Membership Site

Posted By Darren Rowse 28th of October 2009 Other Income Streams 0 Comments

As mentioned a few days back – the popular Membership Site Mastermind Course has just reopened its doors to new members for the last time in 2009 – for 3 days only.

In short – Membership sites are where you sign up readers to pay a monthly subscription to receive teaching, tips, community, coaching or some other benefit from you. They don’t suit every niche and they do take a lot of work – but if you get them right they can be incredibly profitable.

A $100,000 a month example – at Blog World Expo I managed to catch part of a session of Timothy Sykes whose TimAlerts membership site pulls in over $100,000 a month. He built this off the back of a free blog (which he still runs) and with really affordable software (he uses WordPress) and mainly free plugins.

So yes – membership sites can be very profitable when you get them right.

Bonuses for Fast Action – If you signup in the next 24 hours Yaro is including some fast action bonuses including presentations on:

  • buying and selling websites
  • building profitable blogs
  • using video in online marketing
  • conversion points in online marketing

If you want a taste of Yaro’s style and the direction of this course grab this free report which is a great introduction to the topic and contains some great information on the topic whether you do the full course or not.

Again – the doors for Membership Site Mastermind close again on Friday at midnight. Also, as usual Yaro has a money back guarantee on this teaching – if you sign up and then find it’s not for you you can always get your money back.

If a membership site is on your radar as a potential way to extend your blog then this course is well worth checking out. Sign up Here.

  1. One of the best models around. I’m planning a membership site for 2010. If guys like Yaro and Darren and Brian Clark, etc…are running these, I’m not surprised this plan of attack is getting more and more popular :)

  2. Great article Darren. The membership site “Mastermind” is great

  3. Yes idead this kind online business, like most of them, is very profitable, but remember always when you start something always finish it. So if you have at the moment a goal to build a list for example than stick to it till you get it done, or you can “get lost”.

  4. Great to see Yaro’s membership mastermind is available again. Going to be a great learning experience for anyone who joins!

  5. Wow if they will be able to give that much profit than I am sure all big players are going to join this league soon, so I :D

  6. Tim Sykes is an inspiration. He’s really nailed it.

I’m looking up there to the right, at the poll… 3577 readers here don’t have a blog!

Come on folks, get with it!

  7. Nice Darren, thanks for the mention…I would highly recommend creating a membership site each and veery one of you…Darren, let me into Mastermind for free (I’m still cheap) so I can review it and get to $1 million/month pleaseeeee

  8. I think – for sake of clarity – that Tim Sykes is not the best example for the course from Yaro.

I downloaded Yaro’s free report following your last post and it seems mostly aimed at people starting in this business.

Tim Sykes had a huge media coverage that he did not build thanks to his blog – but rather due to his phenomenal trading track record trading stocks (he became a millionaire in early 2000 and then set up his hedge fund).

His membership site is a way to capitalise on his fame and success (by sharing it with other people) So I am not sure it applies to 99.9% of your readership and I find it a bit misleading…

Yaro’s course seems quite good though..

  9. Jez, my previous success is well documented but my #1 article was of how I “bombed out of wall street” aka past success means little…i built my biz by being the #1 ranked trader out of 35,000+ on covestor over the past 2 years… and the thousands of happy customer testimonials…anybody can do that from scratch, just gotta prove you’re worth listening to….and paying for

  10. I really wanted to jump on this one but after going to the site and seeing the all too familiar, scammy looking website, I was opposed. Is there any reason why the author decided to market this book in such a manner. I mean it’s kind of insulting to me as a person. You back this one?

  11. Membership mastermind is really a great membership course, when you say Yaro it means “over delivering”

  12. i really want to be involved in but anyway, my experience seems not enough yet . . .

  13. Hi Guy’s,
Great to see Yaro’s membership mastermind is available again. Going to be a great learning experience for anyone who joins! thanks..

  14. I’ve just finished going through this course. Before I’d gotten my review up I’d referred it to a friend. He actually bought it not because of the content but because of what he could learn from the marketing and delivery. Its killer and I love it.

Bob – actually, in the course he spoke about how in the past, he’d done different sales pages for Problogger readers because they aren’t a fan of the long salesletter. But, as I also learnt in the course, its remarkably effective for most audiences. It depends on how you do it. If your interested in membership sites, I’d say go for it.

Jez – Timothy had AWESOME success prior to creating his membership site but still, a membership site was a crucial part of developing a new income stream. I can see many business people who already have an established offline presence getting a lot out of this course. I’m definitely recommending it to a lot of my business friends.

:-) I hope a lot of the readers here take advantage of it because its awesome.

  15. I was looking for a detailed article on memebership site. I got now. Thanks

  24. Good Health Ideas, Wish you had more content about it

  25. It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place

  26. I have just started a small seo consultancy business and the steady income thing is not a major concern for me, as I have a lot of clients who pay in monthly installments. The one thing that I find hard is knowing when to stop work and when I can actually start it. I have a young family so time is a major issue for me.
