I noticed you mentioned Twitter. I’ve realized that its growing a lot lately. I’m still slightly unsure about the whole ‘twitter’ deal. But it is growing on me. I just tend to forget about it a lot. It does work, when I use it anyway.

I found the video very informative, but in my experience as a fairly successful blogger, landing a regular blogging job is more a question of numbers.

I have been a freelance writer now for four months, in which time, I have written several articles for various websites, and have landed three good blogging jobs.

I use sites like getafreelancer to find work, and have had days where quite literally, i have applied for twenty plus jobs I felt I was well suited too, and not received a single reply.

Then out of the blue, comes work from jobs, which I believed I had little or no chance of landing.

Though I do not dispute the tips in the video, I do feel that in many instances, you should just apply for everything and see what happens. The more you apply for the more work you will receive.

You’d be amazed how quickly you can learn about a subject when there is time and money involved, and the research experience you gain is invaluable.

Your post was instructive, interesting, and offered value to me (as does all your output I’ve seen, read, etc.). It is good to see you on video, it helps me to add a dimension to someone I follow, who graciously allowed me to connect with him on LinkedIn.
