One word of warning about one of the plugins in the 10 WordPress Plugins Guaranteed to Save You Time article. I just downloaded and installed Mass Post Manager because I have a huge chunk of unapproved spam comments that I wanted to get rid of. I tried it on one of my categories – to delete any comments that are in a state of Not Approved.

I’m not sure if this is a Thesis theme / Wordpress 2.7.1 issue, but when I did this, now all of the posts in that category show they have 0 comments. The comments are still there when you go into individual posts. Check out http://kikolani.com/category/dreams and then select the first post to see what I mean. I’m just glad I didn’t do it on one of my main, larger categories.

Thanks for the list of links, I will have to check them out in the next couple of days, too much on my plate to dive into them today. I don’t have any to refer as of now, I don’t have a lot of free time on my hands to do the things I enjoy. :) I will stop back when I have a couple recommendations about reading material.

Gib – I’m sure there could be some ways of hacking these types of posts – pulling in your Twitter feed, or bookmarking links on Delicious and pulling that feed in… but I’ve never tried to automate it yet in any way.

Thanks for the great information!

I’m wondering if you’ve come across anything in your travels that would make generating this kind of post easier.

I’ve been using the great Twitter Tools by Alex King and it’s been culling my daily tweets (not anymore) and my weekly tweets (right now).

Since so much of my Twittering is sharing links, it’s OK to have a post that drops them all into one big post.

On the other hand, making the massive tweet collection into a beautiful, easily read and appreciated post like this one is a bit tough — requiring edits every single time.

Do you have any ideas? Or do you have a better way to export your Shared Items from Google Reader into a post that you can add your writing and comments to?
