Hi Well I was thinking of putting together a link post on how to teach your child something but could not find enough blogs to link to. Then I happened to read the following post: 5 Tips To Keep Your Kids Safe This Summer which made me mad so I had to do my link post in reply. I guess being critical of another post is not ideal but I was critical of the press release that the blog was referring to rather than the blog itself so hoped this would be OK. The original post offended me as a parent and I thought I could do a post that was less insulting however when I started to write it was very hard so I kind of felt bad for my original rant. Anyway I carried on and here it is: Who Else Wants Tips For Keeping Their Children Safe This Summer?. Please don't pan it too much - my intentions were good! Cheers, Chloe

This should have been a stinking easy assignment, but here I am, late in the game, just to get it done.

I finally did get a post about large homes done–and I did include a relevant link–but it took forever. I decided that TRYING to find a blog article to link to is kind of backwards. From now on I’ll just be reading my favorite related blogs with an eye toward linking to those that strike me as relevant to my readers.

I am SO ready to move to Day 8!

I thought this would be of interest to other writers and other writer-bloggers (my target audience), because we writers notoriously take time away from our ‘real work’ to do things like blog.

I am a bit behind…got wrapped up in trying to read all of the links on day 6 (I am a newbie and thought I needed every hint I could get) but decided to move on today and go back to 6 later… My post for today’s assignment is:

Linking is fun. Blogging is fun. This 31 Day Challenge is the best free seminair I’ve ever attended. I am learning so much that I would have never figured out on my own. I set up my blog as a prepetual epilogue and appendixes to my recently published book. I’ve set up a little contents box in my gadgets and linked to the introduction and a sample chapter and endorsements for the book. I’ve also linked a picture of my book cover to Amazon. Without this 31 Day Challenge I would not even have thought these things were possible to do.

I liked the idea of the 1 question interview, this is something I haven’t tried before. The bloggers I contacted were more than happy to provide quotes and it was interesting to read their advice.
