Write a List Post [Day 2 - 31DBBB]
Today your challenge in the 31 Day project that we’re running here at Problogger is focused around writing a post and is to write a ‘list post’.

Today’s Teaching:
Using ‘lists’ has always been a popular and effective technique among bloggers wanting to write content that gets spread from one person to the next. Just look at pages like the front page of Digg, TweetMeme and Delicious and you’ll see that many of the ‘hottest’ content on the web at any given time are written in this style.
Check out this screen shot of Delicious from yesterday:

You can see there that every post in the most popular page of Delcious at this point was a list of some type.
8 Reasons Why List Posts are Powerful for Bloggers
‘List posts’ are popular because:
1. Lists are Scannable – online readers are notoriously lazy and tend to scan content rather than read it word for word. A list helps communicate a number of points quickly and easily and helps readers to know if a post contains information that interests them and which they should actually read more of.
2. Lists keep posts succinct – there is something about a list that keeps you as a blogger from rambling. Each point has a start and end whereas with an essay style of writing points often bleed into one another.
3. Lists look ‘neat’ – I don’t know about you but when I surf onto a site that is full of messily formatted text – I don’t tend to stick around for too long. Lists on the other hand can be quite visually pleasing and more likely to stimulate someone to start reading.
4. Lists can be comprehensive – while some might argue that lists ‘dumb down’ ideas and concepts – when written well they can actually be just as comprehensive as any other style of writing.
5. Lists are persuasive – if you want to mount a case for something quickly presenting numerous arguments in a list can be quite convincing. Again – it’s about identifiable points that together go to forming a convincing argument.
6. Lists can add to the ease of writing – I like writing in lists because they break down my thoughts into bite sized pieces which is good not only for readers but me as a writer as I consider how to express myself.
7. Lists go Viral – lists can start epidemics of ideas. For the above reasons (and others – bloggers and those on social media seem to love sharing lists and as a result they have the ability to spread quickly through out the web (and beyond)
8. Lists break down the complicated – one reason I find list posts to be powerful is that they can be great for breaking down complex ideas or tasks. I know on my photography blog that many of our photoshop tutorials work best when our authors present their instructions as ’steps’ – meaning a procedure that can at first seem overwhelming becomes a list of bite sized tasks.
Warning: don’t go over the top with ‘list posts’. They can be incredibly powerful but on many blogs readers can become frustrated with them if that is all you do.
Your Task for Today – Write a List Post:
Today your task is to write a ‘list post’ on your blog. You may not choose to publish it today if you already have something lined up – but aim to publish it in the next day or two if you can.
3 Types of ‘List Posts’
There are a variety of ways of incorporating lists into your blog. Depending upon the topic and style of blog you’re building some of these options might be appropriate for you:
- The post as a list – in this case there’s nothing in the post except for the list. The title of your post introduces the topic and then the list speaks for itself. The list can be quite barebones – short and to the point. However readers often like them because of their bluntness and the way that they tell it like it is. Example: 21 Ways to Write Posts that are Guarantees to Grow Your Blog.
- Extended lists - this is how I generally approach ‘list posts’. I’ll show you a couple of examples below but in a sense this type of post is not dissimilar to an essay or article but the main points are broken down into a numbered list format. Generally there is a heading for each section (highlighted in bold or heading tags) with a paragraph or two under each one. Example: 10 Ways to Take Stunning Portraits.
- Lists Within Posts - the post you’re reading right now probably illustrates this type well. In this post there are two lists that present ideas in the midst of other content. In a sense the list becomes a way of breaking up your text. I find that often these posts do quite well as other bloggers looking for a quote to share with their readers will many times grab your list.
Some bloggers do at times get a little ‘anti list’ and suggest it is an overused technique and a lazy way to write – but this need not always be the case. There’s nothing to stop a blogger developing a list post that is in depth and on topic for almost any blog.
List posts will not suit everyone’s style and probably are harder to use with some blog topics than others but they are a useful style of post to have in your tool belt for when the opportunity arises.

Examples of List Posts
I know some of our participants will find today’s task easier than others. Some of you have successfully written a lot of list posts while others have not. Some have topics where these types of posts ‘fit’ better than others. I hope that in the following examples (both from my blogs and others) that you’ll find a little inspiration that might help you to discover a type of post that might work with your blog.
- 21 Tips for Amateur Wedding Photographers – a general post listing a lot of ‘tips’. None of the tips go too deep but each could actually be expanded into a post of there own at some point.
- Popular Digital Cameras and Gear – this is actually a series of 4 lists of products that are popular among my readers. The lists rank popular products from highest to lowest – something readers have really appreciated.
- 20 Types of Pages that Every Blogger should Consider - note the technique of using a small picture for each point on the list in this example. I’ve used this a number of times and it seems to work well at drawing readers eyes to points. I first learned the power of this technique in a post I wrote back in 2005 called 18 Lessons I’ve Learned as about Blogging.
- 10 Twitter Tools that Help you Work Smarter - a list of resources/tools (these can be very popular with readers) note the amount of retweets that this post has had on Twitter – lists can go viral!
- 10 High Fliers on Twitter – lists of people are another classic type of post that often does well. They tend to cause debate, discussion and a few vanity link ins from those on the list.
- The Logo Design Process from Start to Finish – an example of a list that really is a step by step process.
- Top 25 fictional ads in sci-fi movies – a little ‘different’ but a good example.
Also: also check out this long list of ‘list posts’ written in a group writing project by readers of ProBlogger. This list of posts has hundreds of examples (some good and some not so good) on hundreds of topics. Hopefully some of them will give a little inspiration).
Share Your New List Posts
It’s time to go away and write your list post. Once you’ve done it – do come back here and leave the link and title in comments below. My hope in this is that participants will get a little traffic but also that you’ll inspire one another with your posts and give a much more comprehensive list than I’ve come up with above of great list posts. I’m looking forward with what you come up with!

List is popular time over time. They provide a straight forward information by bringing the big picture in the front line.

Excellent advice and pleased me as I already do a lot of what you suggested. We’re about to launch our blog and I wrote a post last night called ‘5 reasons to persuade decision-makers that it’s time to update your website’.
I find the list format really helpful in structuring my posts, looking forward to getting the blog live shortly and seeing how well the content performs.

As you have mentioned correctly, List posts do well with social media. But the trick is, not overdoing it. Over the past couple of months, I have seen lots of blogs which come up with list posts and nothing else. Probably Darren will take it up in his upcoming posts.
As per my list post, I would like to share one of my recent posts which became quiet popular on delicious.

1. List post is eye catching and get more click from visitors.
2. List post says the facts on your face
3. Since an average visitor stays on your blog for 10-30 sec
its very essential to pass the message as soon as possible
So I agree with you Darren.

Darren,
The problem nowadays right now is currently dont you think that most of the lists are almost of the same?
It may work initially when not much people marking a lot of list type article but right now I dont think so. What do you think?
I think list posting may have lost the ‘remarkable’ factor which being really stressed on Seth Godin’s book – Purple Cow.
I think the only solution is that I can think of is we have to look for the factor back coz I do agree that those advantages of list post but do it still works and attract a lot of traffics as compared to before?
From your statistics, do it still attract same amount of traffic to your blog as earlier list post?
Any suggestion to improve back the attractions of list post if my assumption is true?

I found great success with this technique a few weeks ago when an unexpected stream of traffic hit my blog. Since I was gaining a large number of (potential) new readers, I put a list post right on my landing page, containing “the best of 3stylelife” over the last 6 months. Not only did it generate a lot more deep traffic, I’m certain I achieved a higher subscription rate because of it.

Lillypilly trees are extremely common street and park trees in Australia. They get masses of red berries (known as riberries) on them from December to March, but hardly anybody here eats them. Such a wasted resource!

Darren,
It’s funny that you mention lists today, as I just set up the framework for a new project, that will be almost all lists. I’ve had the domain activitiesforinfants.com for a few months, and finally pulled it out of the mothballs yesterday. It will be heavy on list content.
The points in your article have made me, think beyond that project though & I will be utilizing this method more often in my primary blog. Lists have just not really occurred to me, when writing for it. Looking back, a few of my articles, may have been far easier to write, in list format.

Meta – tip:
Just because the Day 2 Challenge is to write a List Post (and I’m sure several other days will be to write a (something) Post), doesn’t mean you need to post it today.
Don’t disrupt the natural flow of your blog to get your list post out in half an hour just to get it within the top 100 comments here. That’s not a sustainable strategy (you won’t always have such free license to post links at Problogger, and I’m reluctant to do it as it is).
If you’re working on a cool product review for today, finish it! Then write the list post and have it set up to automatically publish tomorrow (or next week, or whenever it’s appropriate).
This challenge is here to help you learn and grow, not to dictate the content and style of your blog for the next thirty days.

Well, just made my first list-post ever.
Turned out to be more than double the size of my normal posts. (usually I post around 400 words or so.)
Well, my list is called 10 ways to get the ball rolling, or how to beat procrastination and start doing what you want to do.
I know procrastination is a common subject in productivity blogs but I assure you, there are some new things in there. The two most important things to do are:
-Be ruthlessly honest about yourself and your intentions.
-Slow down and take small steps.

1. Writing a List is great idea that people easily understand;
2. It’s a task most people can do–perfect for a beginning assignment.
2. Your Delicious example reinforces your point that lists are popular; gives your readers a variety of subjects they can adapt; plus adds authenticity and credibility to you as a professional–you aren’t pulling things out of the sky, you know what you are talking about.
3. The detailed explanation that follows (in list format) answers questions and reinforces key concepts;
4. You again reinforce your assignment;
5. This is friggin’ great educational androgogy.

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the article today. I literally just stuck ProBlogger in my RSS feed on Friday, and have found the various posts that come through a valuable read so far. Thanks for the challenge. I’m fairly new at blogging (and even newer at actually keeping up with the thing every day), so I took you up on it:

Thanks again. Next challenges, find a better WP theme and some free stock photos. Onward!

Willblogforfood – I’m not trying to single anyone out or anything (especially people posting after my comment!). It sounds like you’re working directly in the flow of your blog, which is great!
Just trying to caution people (especially the newest bloggers among us) that “do this today” doesn’t have to mean “post this today” especially since almost all blogging platforms have post scheduling options.

Let me add that shorter lists work better than long ones. Most people can’t remember more than three things on a list. When I’m using this technique, I try to keep my list under 5.
How you order your list counts too. Your most important point should be first; you least important last. Your less important points, which readers often skim over, go in between.
If your list is short, you can start your blog by summarizing all the points, then go through the list in greater detail.
Love lists.

Hi Everybody!
If I write just a straight list post, it’s usually because I have a lot of unrelated thoughts that aren’t enough to be in a post of their own, or I’m trying to highlight something in my text. Rarely do I write an informative (i.e. how to do something) list.

Ahh… a list post. I read about writing a list post in Yaro’s blueprint. I am convinced the power of list posts, and have tried to do that whenever I could.
You could only write a list post when you are very knowledgeable in the topic you are writing on. Else, you will have a hard time completing the whole list, or your points are not substantial enough.

To be able to write a good list post, you must be knowledgeable about what you are blogging about; else you would find yourself in a tough spot trying to come up with a good list, or your points are not substantial enough to be good for your readers.

It’s called 5 Tips for a Slam-Dunk Listing Presentation and it’s for real estate agents trying to improve their ability to list homes for sale.
The list includes a free offer and I’ve had over 7,000 hits on the post through this blog and a similar post on Active Rain.
Enjoy

I don’t really like list posts, as a reader, though I can’t deny how helpful they can be.
I was originally going to do a mocking list post about the reasons why I hate list posts, however considering yesterday’s exercise, I figured it was a little counter-intuitive.
So instead, I’ve posted a list of misconceptions about artificial intelligence.
http://www.timgittos.com/correcting-5-misconceptions-about-ai
These are misconceptions I once held, however have cleared them up through my research. I might be wrong, and it might be a naiive analysis, but life’s too short to be worried about looking stupid on the internet, I guess.

The thing with lists, is less tiring to read, from a reader’s perspective. Or at least it gives the illusion of being easier on the mind. It’s also fun to write, from the writer’s perspective.

List posts work well if the focus of your blog allows for it.
My blog focuses solely on tutorials, techniques and articles. Originally I had thought of setting my site up as daily lists of general links to illustration based resources (think of FARK.com’s set-up – a link to the site + category + brief description) – now I mix the posts up between that style of link posts and a collection of links to a specific topic (ie Drawing with a WACOM tablet, or Illustrator Shortcuts, etc)
I haven’t been blogging enough to saturate my blog with a majority of original content. But its one of my current goals in the next few months.

I am not a big fan of writing list posts, since my site is mainly based on observational humor. Essays and short quips do much better for my style of writing.
I gave it a shot anyhow. It’s a little off the beaten path for what I normally write about, but it works.

Darren,
Your 31DBBB is just the kick in the ass I needed to get my blog going again. I, like so many others, have spent so much time getting things “just right” that I haven’t really gotten on with the blogging.
Ironically the most popular post on my blog by far is a list post. The traffic and links that this post generates is crazy compared to the few other post I wrote.
Thanks Darren.

This fieldwork is easy for me. I began writing lists almost 20 years ago and now have over 350 notebooks for of them. I still write at least 5 to 10 a week in my list journals. Love the challenge.
Wherever I go I can find something to create a list about. For example, when I go to Starbucks to write or read and relax. I look at anything, a machine they have, what their staff is doing, their products and create a list about it in some way. Many times I can get five, even ten lists from one item/thing/or observation.
When I first began doing this it was a real challenge. My brain didn’t work that well at the process. But soon into the process, about three or four weeks, and my brain didn’t want to stop.
So I kept up the process. I was able to think outside the box in a much better way every time.
It’s like the exercise of describing a pencil we’re given to improve our writing.
It’s a fun exercise to do.
How this helps me…I need to get all the huge amount of lists I have organized. So today, I’ve crafted a system to begin the processing of all the older notebooks without causing any stress in my life using different a few computer apps.
I’m seeing, just by starting with one notebook, how valuable all these lists that I have. Thus, I’m even considering hiring someone to get them into the computer for me.
First, I need to make sure my process works.
Thanks for the reminder and helping me think of taking this higher.

I had a few lists posts set aside for my blog that have not been completed and today’s assignment will make sure that one of them is put to good use.
Posting it today will go against a blog schedule that I have been trying to adhere to, but I will try and get it up tomorrow on Wednesday (I know that my time zone differs greatly from yours) and then leave a link here.
I am also glad that you are posting the challenge and assignments here on Problogger and not exclusively via email because I’m having trouble accessing my email right now due to browser compatibility or hosting issues.

Was saving the list as an “easy” post for when I couldn’t find the time or creativity to come up with something “better.” My style is more mini-essay, I get a lot of ideas FROM lists though.
My elevator pitch was the first thing I came up with for my blog: Reflections on life as a parent as a road to personal growth. A mother contemplates the joys – and the difficulties – involved in raising four children, including a set of twin boys. It’s not just a chronicle; it’s a search for the person behind the parent, a quest to discover some meaning behind the madness.
The list is a Top Ten Things NEVER To Say To a Twin Mom – with essays to follow of course!

Got the topic, and I’ve filled in a few items so far to get things rolling. I’ll schedule it to go live tonight at midnight, my normal post launch time.
I don’t do many lists because most of what I write requires some explanation to the audience, who range from technical to not so technical. Sometimes it’s hard to accommodate everyone.
I think this time I’ve found something that works for everyone. I’ll link to it when it’s launched.
Cheers!

Lists are a great way to engage your readers, especially newcomers, they allow for easy ’scanning’ which is what everyone does their first time visiting a website. There’s no bigger turnoff than coming to a blog for the first time and being bombarded with giant walls of text. Use lists (and incorporate images – another tip that I’m sure we’ll see mentioned in the coming month). Great advice here!

Like several others, I actually had a list post that I was working on when I received the new challenge. This particular post features articles from the last few days that I want to be sure my readers see; more specifically, articles that are useful for independent musicians:
http://www.musicismydayjob.com/musicians-library-highlights-7-april-09/
I think that using lists can be very useful/informative, though I personally feel that they should always come with some sort of commentary from the author. When I see a post called “30 Ways to Do Something” and find nothing but a list of 30 items, I don’t even read the first ten. However, if the author has gone through the trouble to show why he chose those items–acting more like a curator than a list maker–I am much more likely to read the entire thing and share it with friends.

I used to enjoy reading list posts until I found that as this style became more popular, the lists became lackluster. Many of them didn’t offer much more than I could develop through common sense.

This is a great exercise. Lists are nothing new, but just being forced to come up with one on short notice really forces you to practice the skill. Here’s mine;
10 ways to quit wasting time in meetings
One question I had was about deciding how many items to include before you start writing or not. I saw in the archived “10 steps to writing the perfect list post.” that you do recommend that; my personal experience is that it’s better to choose the general number (are you aiming for 10 or 100?) but then to not force your hand too much. If you’re aiming for 25 and come up with 23… the time and effort it takes to add another 2 less-than-great items probably isn’t worth it.

Teacher, teacher! (student at the back of the class waves hand wildly in the air!)
That is more difficult than I thought!
Each point would be a post on its own.
Which brings the question – if several posts along a particular theme have been done over a period of time, can a ’summary’ list follow them?

April 8th, 2009 8:20 am
I wasn’t going to do it, I really wasn’t.
I recently wrote a post called ‘10 Reasons Why Lists Suck’ so I’m just going to look stupid and hypocritical if I post a ‘list post’.
But then I figured – this is day 2 of a 31 day programme. Nobody forced me to follow the programme. No-one pointed a gun at my head demanding I sign up. It was free choice.
So today, in full awareness of the risk to my credibility, I wrote and published ‘6 Reasons Eating Vegetarian Food Is Best’
http://www.quantumlearning.pl/6-reasons-eating-vegetarian-food-is-best
If anyone accuses me of hypocrisy I can claim that 6 items isn’t a real list. If anyone accuses me of not following the Rowse programme I can point to this post. And, in fact, even if I say so myself, it is a pretty damn good post.

Darren,
this really is a challenge as it’s not easy for me to write a post in a special manner like this just because it has to. My creativity can’t be forced. My readers wouldn’t be grateful for a post that is just written because it has to be written.
So I skip the homework today, but I wrote a list-post in the past.
The most successful one is ‘3 Steps To Become A Doer In An Instance’:

I look forward to the next step.

I use lists in my personal blog, sometimes just for pictures, sometimes for things that I have obtained recently. For this, I have created a post that combines more that just the lists (much like this post) and incorporated some information about the new company!

(an excerpt from my post on my blog)
My top 5 pet peeve’s in my new category Rants & Raves:
1. People who park right next to my 2-door car, given the ample space in an empty parking lot.
2. Cream and lotion hand pumps that haven’t been used in a while where upon next use, you get that hard tube of cream formed in the spout of the pump. It’s like a piece of slippery snot.
3. Women who squat over the toilet in a public bathroom and leave their pee splash all over the seat and don’t bother to clean it off. Men, sometimes women are more gross than you are.
4. People who smoke just outside the office doors right under the No Smoking sign.
5. Back to number 3 above, those pee-happy women who think it’s just as good to turn on the tap and rinse their fingertips for 5 seconds with no soap- thinking they haven’t “touched” anything – and walk out the door. Did the toilet magically flush itself? Did the bathroom stall door open automatically when you tooted on it?

I like list posts because they help me sort through my thoughts better (I have a very bad tendency to stray off topic, kind of like what I’m doing in these parentheses). The only problem I have with them is that I start ranting when I write them. I’m not sure why that is…

Elliot Ross – good question. What I often do is a list post that is very general and just scrapes the surface and then follow it up with a series of posts that expands upon each point. I think add links in the original post to the followup ones. For example – check out my post – How to Craft a Blog Post – 10 Crucial Points to Pause for an example of how I did this in a series of posts here last year.

Darren,
I understand that from a marketing/psychology perspective, people gravitate towards lists. Once I learned that, I tried it out with this article “Seven Job Search Mistakes to Avoid”. I guess it worked!
It’s actually a newsletter that I wrote some time ago. http://thewrightcareer.com/blog.

Yesterday’s exercise has made me think about how to create a list that is relevant to what I do, rather than just ‘a list’. So, I wrote a list on 25 Ways to Keep Your EFL Students Motivated. I don’t know how to create a link in the comments area (I still have so much to learn), but you can copy-paste it. Here it is: http://lunas994.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-2-31dbbb20-ways-to-keep-your-efl.html#links

I’ve written list posts before and have seen their appeal first hand in my blog stats. But this time around was harder because I HAD to come up with a list. Usually the list grows itself and then I feel compelled to write about it. This time I had to pluck something out of the air. http://www.lizhover.com/2009/04/my-top-5-sources-of-blogging-inspiration/

Darren,
Thank you for the “Lists” article and homework. As a relatively new blogger, I have been using lists off and on since I started blogging. I find, writing a travel in the Western U.S. blog, lists to be a great way to emphasize a particular area or event.
My “Where in the West am I?” blog has been running for over a week and it is in list form. Thank you!

Hey Darren, I’m enjoying 31DBBB so far and I wanted to post my list post for today.
I am the sole author of Young & Freelancing ( http://bryanconnor.com/blog/ ) which is the place for young freelancers to get the advice, the help, and the inspiration they need to be the next generation of freelance rockstar.
In case you couldn’t tell, that’s the elevator pitch from yesterday. What do you think?
My list post is the second article in my summer employment series, the first being How to Find the Summer Internship or Job of your dreams ( http://bryanconnor.com/2009/04/how-to-find-the-summer-internship-or-job-of-your-dreams/ ).
My second post How to Get the Summer Internship of Job of your dreams ( http://bryanconnor.com/2009/04/how-to-get-the-summer-internship-or-job-of-your-dreams/ ) focuses on actually winning that perfect internship once you’ve found it.
It was already shaping up to be a list post when I got your email and read the post. I am sort of in the beginning stages of my blog and I am worried that I have fallen back on list posts as a way to write more easily and quickly so I am reading this discussion as it pertains to my little old blog as well.

I wasn’t going to post at all today, because I directed all of my obsessive compulsive urges and creative energy towards setting up and photographing my entries to the ABA Journal’s “Peeps in Law Gallery”, which I anticipate (and am a bit concerned) may be my greatest contribution to the legal profession.
But I had to post because I am doing “31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge”, and Day Two’s homework is to write a “list post”. I thought about making up some lame excuse such as “I ate too many Peeps to blog today” but my inner “Miss Type A” went ballistic at the thought of being a quitter on the blog challenge after just one day.
So I made a list of things not to do at work if you’re having a bad day: http://www.practicalparalegalism.com/2009/04/list-post-what-not-to-do-if-youre.html

I don’t think list posts will ever get old. Not only can they be quick and easy (lightening your load and freeing up more creative time on other pieces) but they can be detailed and thorough and informative. I do list posts every Thursday. It helps bring a bit of regularity to my blog and I know that I can have fun with it.
Even on other not so list-ish posts, it’s great to make lists inside of posts whenever possible to help the reader work his way through the info. Is it obvious I just like lists anyway? I’m a list person.
Here’s the list post I did today, a “how to.” And since my blog is about all manners of housewifery, what better topic than:

Hmmm. I posted a comment several hours ago that seems to not have made it. Apologies if it duplicates.
I have used list posts a few times in the past. Today’s “homework” was good because it prompted me to address the technique differently. I used list items, as well as headers within the list. I’m actually happy at how it turned out. This techniques outlines the progression of the argument, as well as allows someone to see it in just a few lines. Thanks for the idea Darren.

I agree with how important list pieces are. On my 2 main blogs, the most popular posts by far are the list pieces.
Here is my list piece as today’s task:

A great first writing assignment. I agree with you 100% about the readability (and write-ability, if that’s a word) of List Posts. Great reading/writing style for the web.
I’ve had a small breakthrough doing this assignment.
First, I thought my list needed a bigger context — rather than just a headline followed by a list. Then, that context turned out to be an entire post in and of itself.
So, I wound up writing two posts: one, the Big Picture (in this case a post entitled “What You Need to Know About Lead Generation”), two, the List (”6 Ways to Generate Leads for Free”)
Second, to spread out the posts, I’ve scheduled both of them — one for Wednesday at 10 am Pacific Time. The other for Thursday at 10 am Pacific Time. Each post refers to the other — “Tomorrow, I’ll cover free ways to generate leads”. “Yesterday, I covered what leads are, today I’ll give you info on how to get them”.
First time I’ve done both of those: created “a series,” and scheduled posts in advance. Cool stuff.
(I scheduled the first one because it is now 1 am PT. And I figure a better publishing time is when most of my audience is, ahhh, awake. I could be wrong about that — it may not matter. But I’ll see how it goes.)
I’ll come back to post the URLs once they’re published.
Great program, Darren. Thanks for taking it (and all of us) on!

For whatever reason, I tend to forget about writing list posts. It’s rather silly, because some of my most viewed have been lists. Great reminder for me that these should be a regular part of the arsenal.
