Awesome!

I think from time to time, we should be reviewing our last 10 posts and asking ourselves, “Is my content consistent with the Brand I’m building?”

It is easy to get lost or stray from your objective when trying to author creative and valuable content. Be prudent.

Strive to be excellent in your blogging, and in everything you do. If you are outstanding in your niche, your brand will be all the more noticable as blog readers look around and decide which blog(s) to follow. Make your blog and your brand something worth choosing...

The best tip I can give while not necessarily a blog, although I suppose it could turn into that, is use www.personavita.com. Also be yourself and be consistent

Branding depends on the sites owner and the people or bloggers making the blog into it. This news tells us the exact way to make richer using these brands. Its just like a push ups and highlight for the people who are working online!!!

Great article series. I've been a follower for a while, but this is the first time I've been a real participant. I agree with all the marketers who've posted comments. I think, even if you don't plan on selling things through your blog or website, you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset in order to make a success of it.

I'm hoping that people will see what my blog is all about. I'm hoping my brand will turn out to be creativity specialist. That's all I really write about - learning to be more creative.

Thanks again.

"what do you want to be known for’... look at her last 10 posts and tell me if she deserved to be known as that. Her last 10 posts were largely her linking to news in her niche or to what other bloggers were writing with very little of her own opinion or ideas."

Wow. This really has me thinking. I certainly don't want to be know as the blog that rarely has an original thought! These 2 ideas are really helpful as I consider the brand for a new blog. Thanks!

Great article. I have found my brand well in my head however trying to get this brand on to my site is another story.

As you said it can be hard to establish the brand that you want but I intend on trying as best I can.

I want to be known for being one of the top blog's for start up bloggers to go to for tutorials, techniques and tips.

Branding needs to be done at the initial stage of the blog to help promote it better in the long run. I guess I need to sit and plan a branding strategy asap.

I think branding your blog is as simple as thinking of it as an extension of yourself, and having clear goals for what you want your blog to be.

I knew right away that my blog would be a business, and because of this, I designed my logo before I even started thinking about what the blog design itself would look like. Of course, it helps that I'm a graphic artist :)

But starting with a logo has allowed me to create a brand that permeates every part of my blog and my offline endeavors, like the business cards I recently had printed. I have also integrated the use of my logo, color palette and other online branding with using my photo as my avatar. That way, people associate my logo with my brand, but also associate me with my brand.

I have gotten a lot of compliments on the design of my blog and my ability to integrate my brand.

Awesome!

I think from time to time, we should be reviewing our last 10 posts and asking ourselves, "Is my content consistent with the Brand I'm building?"

It is easy to get lost or stray from your objective when trying to author creative and valuable content. Be prudent.

Great article. As someone who has been trying to shape my own blog's brand, this is a really helpful post. It shows me that a lot more goes into branding than I thought (like public perception, etc.)

Are there any do's & dont's to follow when establishing your blog's branding?

Great series Darren.

Personal branding and blog branding are two sides of the same coin. Both compliment each other very well.

I already have a vanity folder Darren ;) , got the tip from one of your old post.

I agree totally that "A brand will emerge whether you want it to or not". As a "new" Blogger (I've been writing content and designing, delivering and facilitating content for years as a Training and Development Professional in Corporate America), the advice I was given was to "identify" my "niche". So, I tried. And FAILED.

I regrouped and tried the "obituary" approach. What I want to be known for is helping people live happier, more productive, lives. Now, whether I share tips, tools or tricks, have guest who inspire me, it doesn't matter. The key is being AUTHENTIC and CONSISTENT. The rest will come.

Thanks as always for some AWESOME tips and helping the community be better as a whole.

My tip is to develop your own personal voice. Being first to break stories and having 100% original content is great but what really makes your brand stand out is being able to develop your voice. It's what draws people back.

Great post and I believe that branding your blog is a really important thing in the blog success. I am working on traffic right now and after I start getting a passive traffic (I hope it is very soon) I will work on branding. Great post and very
informative. Thank's Darren.
