Did a redirect for my Facebook page but something went buggy and it did not send folks to the page but my home page. Don't know if facebook or me working too late. But feel that a redirect of a long link would be better for SEO. Will not give up, think lots can be done sending folks via a domain name to your page. The search for pages in Facebook is not intuitive may just be the

I do believe that Twitter offers more than Facebook, in some cases. Facebook is a nice networking tool. Seems a little limited to me, but I have an account, and I connect with old high school and college buddies. It's still a wonderful tool to promote your business, practice, service, or products.

Until the next post, much love, peace, and medicated hair grease.

This is great information but it really takes a lot more than choosing some keywords that are related to your blog to build a successful Facebook Group. The strategy you mentioned in this article only really works if you already have a well established Facebook profile. But if you are just getting started with Facebook you may want to take a look at this guide on how to build a Facebook user profile and groups for your business from the ground up:

Found this page last week and loved the ideas. Somehow I managed--or thought I had managed--to feed my blog into my FB Notes page but today when I wrote a new post it didn't show up. So I don't know what I did wrong and I can't remember how I did it. Worse, I can't remember where I found the how-to.

I also set up a fan page for my blog Down the Writer's Path but don't know how to include the feed from the blog. Any hints on where the how-to info is located would be great.

I've enjoyed reading your thoughts as well as all the insightful comments. Question: Where do I find the post a link feature on facebook groups? "or you can use the Post a Link feature to notify the group’s members of your group and your blog." Thanks!

This is a great idea...I don't know why I hadn't thought of it. I already use the walls of off fan pages or groups to advertise my blog, and I get about 70 visits a day from that alone, and perhaps more down the road that you can't link directly to Facebook, so I've just created a group at: http://www.facebook.com/editphoto.php?oid=132399760064&success=1&failure=0#/group.php?gid=132399760064

Hopefully I'll get even more visits from this to my blog: http://mylifeiscrap.com...I'll keep you posted.

good article, we have a group and a facebook page - not sure which I prefer as both have different applications and offer an opportunity to present different kinds of information. As we market 2 types of people - Companies and job seekers - I have been trying to keep FB for job seekers and blog for companies... not sure if this is the right way about it.

I have to say it has been a struggle getting fans and new members to both & still struggling so will try a few of your tips.

Final note - i find that the RSS feeders have never really worked very well on FB does anyone have any ideas?

Thanx a lot for this post! I have a personal Facebook profile but didn't know how to start more reasonable.
As for company profile - can suggested methods be suitable for company service promoting?

Found this article very useful and if you don't mind - translated it to Russian, to make it more widespread in network (translation contains all links to you, this article and you your site, as well all internal article links). If you object, tell me.
