Google AdSense Reports to Appear in Google Analytics - [Screenshots]
Have you ever wished that you could get more details of how your AdSense performance is going and wondered why Google AdSense and Google Analytics don’t have some way of talking to one another to give you more effective metrics?
Well it seems that the time is coming soon where you’ll be able to read AdSense stats in your Analytics reports. The kinds of stuff you’ll be able to see:
- Which pages on your blog get the most AdSense clicks
- Which pages have the highest CPM
- Which pages have the highest CTR
- AdSense graphs/trends
- Which traffic sources generate the highest income
Digital Inspiration has just published some screenshots of the new reports that we’ll hopefully be able to find in Google Analytics soon.
For example this ‘Top AdSense Content’ page looks at your different pages of content and how they perform (click to enlarge):

This kind of reporting is something that AdSense publishers have been asking for years. It is going to open up some amazing possibilities for optimizing your content for AdSense. The only question is - when will it become available???
Interestingly the AdSense blog is saying that AdSense will be down for maintenance this Saturday (13th) between 10am to 2pm PDT. Perhaps what they’re doing is getting this new launch ready?
Update
I’ve asked Google for comment on this and they responded with a ‘no comment’. However I’ve been hearing from a number of services that the maintenance this weekend is NOT to put this new functionality in place and that it’s probably a couple of weeks away before we’ll see this released.

Wow, very nice! This should really help with stats tracking along with seeing which pages convert best.

I’m looking forward to see this … -:). Simply - Great info. Finaly I’ll be able to see which page is making me money and which does not. This will help me to optimise my adsense ad on different posts/pages.
I’m using Analytics for my sites and this feature is for me a step forward into a real freedom.

For once it paid to stay up late and hang out on Plurk. LoL Great post! This is huge news and if it comes full circle it will make a huge difference in how we view our website statistics. I welcome any change from Google that makes my life easier and more efficient.

Thanks for the heads up! This is going to be a powerful tool for publishers to find out the weak and strong areas of their websites other than simply bounce rates and time on page. I can see Adsense revenue getting a big push from this type of data.

This is some great news, considering that I’ve been looking into placing google ads on my site. I think Analytics are great and having this type of ability all within the interface is amazing.

Google is slowly taking over the world. @gary If feedburner stats are integrated, then there would be no where else to go. Everything you need for your website will be right infront of you.

Can someone tell me why Google Analytics is so popular? I’ve always relied on the site stats provided (in various forms) by my webhost. Is there an advantage to getting my stats from Analytics that I’m missing out on? Well obviously after they integrate AdSense…

I have always wondered when this would happen. I hate having to log in to both Analytics and AdSense (and now AdManager) all separately.
it is nice that Analytics does finally remember my login credentials though, if I could get a dashboard that handled, Analytics, Feedburner (since they are part of google), AdSense, AdManager, Gmail without having to use iGoogle that would be nice!

I’m not really big into Google anything and I probably won’t ever recommend it. I think that Google is ran by little bitches and they tried to run the whole World Wide Web. I hope that someone will finally come along and expose them for what they really are.

This is going to be a great tool, and I have been waiting for it for quite some time. However, I see a problem with it already. Many bloggers, especially new bloggers, will focus on what type of content is making them money. However they never pay attention to what type of content is bringing in readers and is satisfying their current readers.
Again it will be a great tool, but don’t put too much focus on it. Good content doesn’t come from what Google Analytic says, its about creativity and fresh ideas.

No update yet. Hope it is coming soon. It really is a pain in the ass to get my adsense data in a decente graph. i am trying to download adsenselog from metalgrass but that does not seem to work for me. It gives an error on installing.
Hopefully updates will follow quickly

This sounds like an interesting development for AdSense/Analytics and I can’t wait for it to be implemented. I am wondering if it will be able to report which advertisers are generating income, using the competetive ad filter can sometimes be a little hit and miss as you may actually be exlcluding an advert that is making money.
