have anyone used Clicksor before? because i heard they were a good alternative to Adsense.

There are of course a lot of Adsense-related strategies that go into an overall Adsense strategy.

Traffic-building is essential (in my view). Keyword placement around the ads so as to be sure that the content that drove the visitor to your site in the first place is in line with the Adsense ads being diplayed by Adsense is also a must.

Adsense strategy is no simple affair, but requires savvy, research, and work. However money can be made, there is no doubt about it, from a well thought-out Adsense strategy.

I received an e-mail from AdSense about this new Review Center and at first I thought about going straight there to block some ads.

After thinking it over, I changed my mind due to the reasons you stated above. For now, Im going to wait and listen to others for a little bit to see how it works for them.

This can be good feature to stop rival ads that want to hack your customers but will surely decrease the income. You can only don one thing at a time after all, either stop rivals or get paid by rivals and let your customer goooooo.

Ryan, If you haven’t already done so, send a request to google to review their decision to block your adsense account. But do it politely as they are people too. If it was not your fault, they may reinstate it. I was blocked but got reinstated two months after sending a request for review. Good Luck !

Great to see that option become more generally available. I’ve seen the occasional inappropriate ads for one or another of my sites, and having another option to get rid of them is always welcome. Just have to wait and see if they’re inappropriate site targeting or inappropriate keyword targeting.

That’s not enough in my opinion. Barely a start… they’ve got a long way to go to satisfy me as they have clearly been ripping publishers off for far too long.

What other options are there than adsense? I can’t use it for ethical reasons as I am a doctor and I am giving out medical advice on my blog, I don’t want my readers to be confused by the hype that the adsense adverts will naturally draw with my content. I am trying to hammer out all the hype in the alternative medicine world…not potentate it…

I guess I can go after individual ads in my field…but I have just been lazy about it.

Doesn’t seem like there is a very easy solution for moderately popular websites to make some money.

This is interesting. I am always hesitant to block out ads because as you mention, you could be blocking ads that would be profitable on your blog. I would find this helpful to block ads that do not fit my blog’s message, or my personal beliefs, etc. Thanks for the heads up!
