Blogs are very hard work, and time consuming. I don’t think I have spent less then 4 hours a day working on my blog in some form or another. The funny part is, that it has become an addiction that I am willing to give my time to, but for many people out there looking for a quick buck with hopes of striking it rich in a few weeks, then I think it will be best for them to get out of the business via flipping there blog.

In my opinion blogging is something you have to decide to do for the long haul, before you actually start making any sort of money off of it.

Hm, well I think that instead of your blog going to waste due to your lack of time and commitment to your blog, it’s better to let someone take it off your hands and continue it than let your blog suffer. Selling is hard, but it should depend on the circumstances affecting you also.

Blogs are one of the only types of web properties you can flip with almost absolute assurance that the buyer is interested in keeping at least some of the content you have written, instead of just gutting a website and redoing it because a buyer wanted solely the domain name.

Like everything we heard growing up. DO WHAT YOU LIKE.

If you get into blogging with the primary goal of getting rich you won’t be happy. Sure, it kinda sucks when you only get $12 in you account. I blog and chat and post on various forums because I enjoy doing it. I look at any moneys I make as icing on the cake. Getting paid for doing something I would be doing anyway,,, for free.

I actually like the marketing part more than the writing part. I doubt if I’ll ever sell my blog, unless in an emergency. Thing is that blogging isn’t that hard once you go “pro”. It takes a lot of effort in the beginning but honestly, who does more promotion: Darren or the blogger who started his blog 3 months ago? Of course the guy who started 5 months ago…
