Chitika have been kind enough to sponsor me in coming along this year and to celebrate we’re holding a little event called the:
Chitika/ProBlogger SXSW Beer-Bus!
Yep it’s a party and a great opportunity to come along and meet some fellow bloggers, Chitika staff and me – on a bus for 3 hours as we travel around Austin.
Of course a bus only holds so many people so there’s a limit on how many people can attend so to work out who is ‘on board’ I’m holding a little competition.
Requirements of Entry
- IF you’re coming to SXSW all you need to do to be in the running to win a spot on the bus is to comment below.
- You MUST be coming to SXSW to be eligible and you MUST be able to come along on 9 March (Sunday) from 3pm-6pm (update: the party starts at 3pm with the bus leaving at 4pm I’m told).
- If this excludes you then please don’t enter as someone else will miss out.
- This competition will run from now until the end of Tuesday 26th.
- One entry per person.
- Entries will be selected randomly and will be notified via email (please include a valid email address in the email field of your comment)
I’m not sure exactly of how many spots we’re giving away but I’m hoping it will be around 20 (depending how many RSVPs I get from others that I’ve invited).

I’ll be there!! However, is it possible to get on a bit late? I have a friend who’s on a panel at 330p. :-\ If not, I’d still love to shake hands and say hi. I’ve been a reader (and evangelist) for several months now, though I don’t comment often, I’ve often used ProBlogger for tips and pointers on blogging for a living.

I think the bus needs to leave at 3pm unfortunately. It’s a tough one as whatever time we did it it’d exclude some :-(

We’ve “talked” a bit via Twitter (I’m ericabiz). I’m an avid blogger and have been steadily increasing my blog’s traffic. I also read ProBlogger on a regular basis and love your site.

Quick correction – the bus actually OPENS at 3 (why not get the party started?), but it doesn’t actually DEPART until 4.

I can’t help it. I’m the father of a two year old who absolutely LOVES the movie Cars, and whenever I hear the name Chitika, I get an image of Chick Hicks (the green car) making a sound that sounds an awful lot like “chitika … chitika” as a way of being a braggart.

Ryan, I’m attending the Geeks Love Bowling event, which leaves at 7:30, so by returning at 6pm I should have plenty of time to get to the bowling busses.
Where will the bus leave and depart from? I assume at the main conference center, but thought I ought to ask.
