Thanks to everyone who sponsored me (it’s not too late).

The total donations so far have hit $1847.50 (AUD). That’s got to me about $1 a whisker….

A thanks to everyone who donated – but a special thanks to the ‘premium sponsors’ who each put up $200 or more. They are:

Also a special thanks to my wife V – who sacrificed more than I did for the cause!

Next time you see me – I’ll be Mo-less.

  1. You should’ve kept it, makes you look like that guy from Mythbusters.

  2. Lol, Bryce is right :)

It’s alright though, we’ll forgive you.

I went and saw Alan Noble from Google the other day, he grew a mustache for Movember as well, and he was giving away some Google down under t-shirts for people who donated.

    I missed out :(

  3. hahaha have to agree with Bryce.

  4. I am kinda jealous. I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to grow a Mo like you have for some time now !

You on the other hand, are able to and can’t wait to raze it !

At least it was all for a good cause ! Congratulations by the way !

  5. That’s funny. I’m glad your wife “sacrificed” for the cause.

I’ve been married since June of 1972. I was in the navy and had grown a mustache and beard because I was just out of boot camp and, back then, they were permitted by the USN for everyone except boots.

I met my wife-to-be about a month after I quit shaving.

I’ve been beardless on and off since then, but never without a mustache. My wife, kids and grandkids have never seen me without a mustache, other than in old pictures.

  6. That gives me an idea for a new Problogger series Darren – Blogging Myths Busted!

    Awesome.

  7. RT – good topic, in fact I’ve got a similar topic as a draft in my own ‘to write one day’ folder.

  8. Nooooooo! You should keep it – just let it grow into a full beard and your wife will like it!

  9. The photo are great, it reminds me of super mario bros.. lol

  10. Next up, reverse mo? Grow it all out and then shave a stripe right down the center.

  11. BTW – what camera are those photos taken with? Crisp.

  12. Canon EOS 5D

  13. Haha, it does make you like the guy from Myth Busters.

  14. *Kenneth

I was thinking the same thing, lol.

Personally I think Darrn should start a poll.

Should I stay or should I Mo.

I’d vote for the Mo. lol

  15. hi Darren,

    rofl

  16. Great job Darren, Glad you raised good amount. Til next November.

  17. Darren, have you ever thought about shaving your head? You should do it and keep the Mo. I think it would be a great look for you.

  18. I know what you mean by thanking the wife. Mine has put up with changes with moustaches, beards and hair length over the years.

  19. Hi Darren,

You even grow a moustache on your head for Movember.

  20. You should threaten to leave it growing unless wife V gets some more masculine (or Neutral) looking towels and shower curtain.

    ;0)

  21. nice one MrBrownThumb.

Actually we’re moving house this Friday into a house with a much more neutral bathroom – phew.

  22. “Long Live The MO!”

  23. It’s really great that bloggers take their time to do charities like you are.

  24. You look great with that moustache, mate. I’m a guy, and I like it!

    Pity it’s going away.

  25. Is that a cartridge razor you’re going to use? Ack!

  26. Oh, this will be a sad day, The Mo will be gone.
