Just remember, Amazon only offers a 24 hour cookie, compared to other affiliates that offer 120 day+ cookies. Regardless, Amazon offers some pretty widgets to help monetize traffic. I have some examples on the site listed above.

Well I did something. My 60s music site Im now adding the product previews to all of the Amazon products on my page.

So if they hover over the CD title or the album cover, you get load of info.

I’ll see if that works. Im adding it to my 80s site now. Let me know guys if you like it.

Thanks BW. I may have to look into that. I still want to keep the site looking good. Im not sure if a lot of buttons on it will make it kinda ugly.

But I probably should do something more.

Just went to your site.

Even though you have the album cover as a click link to Amazon, it is not obvious that, that is what people should do.

You might want to consider a button such as mentioned in this post to get people to buy through your affiliate links

Just my 2 cents…

I don’t get a lot of conversions. Maybe .060 I think so far. I like the way I have my music sites set up though. They can click on the CD cover or the title.

nikfromMars: Even though Amazon doesn’t have shop in Italy, you could join up with their UK, France and/or German sites associates programs.
Then again people are quite bit more cautious if they would have to buy something from other country, so it will affect to peoples conversion rate …
I am still waiting to get any revenue to show up from amazon.co.uk

Interesting approach, and one I’m keen to try. I find I get good click-through from my pages but with low conversion rates, but I think this is mainly because I am only offering amazon.co.uk.

On that topic, does anyone have a quick answer to switching between amazon.com and amazon.co.uk on a Blogger website? I wanted to achieve this with one button directing to the appropriate site, but have failed to find a solution. A quick workaround is to have two ‘Buy Now’ buttons with national flags on each, but that’s not very sophisticated!
