I signed up a day or 2 after it launched. I was thrilled to see your post in the “Introductions” section of the forum! Kinda like we’d be rubbing virtual shoulders! :) (Eventually I came to my senses and realized you’d probably be too busy with your own online businesses/customers to be an active participant in Brian’s program/forum.)

The course is being tweaked and improved based on input from the charter members… and it DOES need some improving in my opinion. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. People tend to learn more effectively when they have to put some effort into what they’re learning; I know that’s the case with me.

The Teaching Sells community has created a wonderful learning environment… the the program itself is a fantastic model (case study) of what I will do with my own teaching/membership site after I soak up this course!

The $97 cost is per quarter, so it’s about $33 per month, $8 per week. How much do you spend at Starbucks? For something that will show me how to create a new, profitable business model that incorporates what I’m already doing (providing information) but turns it into a REAL income generator, that price is (was) ridiculously low.

I am very comfortable with online learning environments, and I don’t think this environment differs much from most.

But obviously the real difference is in the content and the conversations going on. This is not a group of passive learners. I am excited to be surrounded by serial entrepreneurs excited to go out and change their lives and the lives of others.

I’ve signed up too – enjoying it and getting a lot out of it so far. The forums are potentially distracting – but in a good way because there are lots of interesting people there, with a lot of information and ideas to share

There’s a good community feel and the content is fresh and interesting – it’s certainly been worth the money for me.

Though I’m still exploring the options for teaching in my field, I do need some convincing that an online learning environment is a better option than, say, a sponsored “value oriented” blog in the style of Skellie’s post yesterday. I’m not yet 100% convinced that it would be possible to build a healthy learning environment of over 500 students so quickly without an established platform like Copyblogger to act as a springboard.

I look forward to being persuaded in later modules!

I think it’s going to be great, and at the charter price it really is a bargain.

I love Brian’s teachings though.

If you want to monetize your blog, find the money, it’s worth it.

It took me a few days to get used to the collaborative aspect as I tend to be more of a “solo” learner.

I can honestly say that I’ve learned a great deal from the discussions going on between members and that only serves to augment the actual content provided.

Collaboration, and the addition of new content allows the course to evolve in a way that a book or a standalone course could not.

All in all I’m fairly pleased so far. My reluctance over the $97 faded quickly once I dove into all the features.

I really hope that Brian will put soon the same effort into lectures 2-4 as he did and does with lecture 1. Otherwise he might just get some people, who know their niche and are more interested in the content of the other lectures, to remind him of his “money back guarantee”.

I’m looking forward to seeing the additional content they develop for the course over the next couple of months.

I’m currently in the process of choosing a topic and getting set up and feel very well equipped to take the steps that are outlined in this and putting them into reality. I have also found the community at TS to be very warm and encouraging so far. I have actually found a potential business partner already, someone whose skills compliment mine. I am very glad that I enrolled.
