Hi Darren,

I signed up a day or 2 after it launched. I was thrilled to see your post in the "Introductions" section of the forum! Kinda like we'd be rubbing virtual shoulders! :) (Eventually I came to my senses and realized you'd probably be too busy with your own online businesses/customers to be an active participant in Brian's program/forum.)

The course is being tweaked and improved based on input from the charter members... and it DOES need some improving in my opinion. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. People tend to learn more effectively when they have to put some effort into what they're learning; I know that's the case with me.

The Teaching Sells community has created a wonderful learning environment... the the program itself is a fantastic model (case study) of what I will do with my own teaching/membership site after I soak up this course!

The $97 cost is per quarter, so it's about $33 per month, $8 per week. How much do you spend at Starbucks? For something that will show me how to create a new, profitable business model that incorporates what I'm already doing (providing information) but turns it into a REAL income generator, that price is (was) ridiculously low.

Hi Darren.
I am also participating, but like you, I have been too busy to sit and go through all the modules.

I am very comfortable with online learning environments, and I don't think this environment differs much from most.

But obviously the real difference is in the content and the conversations going on. This is not a group of passive learners. I am excited to be surrounded by serial entrepreneurs excited to go out and change their lives and the lives of others.

Hi, Darren. I'm participating in "Teaching Sells," and actually chose to opt-in based on your recommendation. It's not a traditional course--I'd say: way better. It's a collaborative, evolving learning environment, with (as you said) great high-value daily conversations among the students. Thanks again for the tip. I'd recommend "Teaching Sells" strongly. For anyone debating whether to sign up, I'd suggest you go ahead, bite the bullet, and pay $97 bucks today, while the charter offer is still good. You'll find it's well worth it.

The Free Report was interesting and the course looks interesting too, but $97 is far too much.

Might just be me, but these Teaching Sells posts all come off like you are getting paid to promote it or getting some kind of referral fee or something. One post is alright, but this is becoming an annoying trend now.

Hi Darren

I didn't realise Probloggers lurked!

I've signed up too - enjoying it and getting a lot out of it so far. The forums are potentially distracting - but in a good way because there are lots of interesting people there, with a lot of information and ideas to share

I enrolled as soon as it was available and have found it very useful in generating ideas so far.

There's a good community feel and the content is fresh and interesting - it's certainly been worth the money for me.

Though I'm still exploring the options for teaching in my field, I do need some convincing that an online learning environment is a better option than, say, a sponsored "value oriented" blog in the style of Skellie's post yesterday. I'm not yet 100% convinced that it would be possible to build a healthy learning environment of over 500 students so quickly without an established platform like Copyblogger to act as a springboard.

I look forward to being persuaded in later modules!

I have enrolled and had a quick look around but I haven't worked through the course material yet. I have a couple of observations though. Firstly it's very well organised, unlike some other membership sites I have been in. And secondly the forums are very active which is a real bonus because it helps when you've got real people to help you along. It's also really nice to see Brian & Tony active on the forums too and actually implementing changes that people suggest.

I think it's going to be great, and at the charter price it really is a bargain.

Yup I enrolled yesterday. I trust Teaching Sells give me value for my money. Taking my time to digest all the information to make sure I don't get information overload. So far so good.

I think its worth the $97... I haven't bought it myself. I'll definitely buy it later on when I have money to spare... I got too much going right now and I probably can't do the course on top of all the things that I'm doing.

I love Brian's teachings though.

Cheers,
Carlo

It's definitely worth the $97. Much of the content has not been published (my only complaint), but what is there is excellent.

If you want to monetize your blog, find the money, it's worth it.

I was nervous about spending that much money for a course & not knowing what to expect.

It took me a few days to get used to the collaborative aspect as I tend to be more of a "solo" learner.

I can honestly say that I've learned a great deal from the discussions going on between members and that only serves to augment the actual content provided.

Collaboration, and the addition of new content allows the course to evolve in a way that a book or a standalone course could not.

All in all I'm fairly pleased so far. My reluctance over the $97 faded quickly once I dove into all the features.

I found the concept of Teaching Sells quite promising and subscribed. While I liked what I saw - Brian invested a lot of effort to lay out lecture one on "How to Create Content That Sells" - I am disappointed by the number of lectures currently available. I went through the available lectures in one day and found that Lectures two to four are currently only providing the subscriber with an introduction and overview on the topics they will discuss.

I really hope that Brian will put soon the same effort into lectures 2-4 as he did and does with lecture 1. Otherwise he might just get some people, who know their niche and are more interested in the content of the other lectures, to remind him of his "money back guarantee".

One of the best benefits in joining Teaching Sells is that it provides a good structure to think about your own project. Having spent the money to enroll in this program, I'm finding myself being more dedicated to pursuing my interests rather than just sitting around thinking about it. Of course, there's always the danger of getting too distracted in the forum discussions within Teaching Sells.

I'm looking forward to seeing the additional content they develop for the course over the next couple of months.

I looked through the initial content and it definitely looks interesting, and I'll be kicking into it once I complete some projects I currently have going. It's definitely something that has the potential to create a good return.

I don't have a blog but have been wanting to find a way to make money online for a while now and bit the bullet and bought 3 months membership on TS. I did so half expecting that I'd use the money back guarantee and get my money back because I didn't learn anything but after just a week or two I think I've already got my money's worth and I have found it to be incredibly inspiring and helpful.

I'm currently in the process of choosing a topic and getting set up and feel very well equipped to take the steps that are outlined in this and putting them into reality. I have also found the community at TS to be very warm and encouraging so far. I have actually found a potential business partner already, someone whose skills compliment mine. I am very glad that I enrolled.

I wish I can sign up for this, but $97 is still too much for me. If I had the budget right now, I'd register for it in a heart beat.
