Talking about Blog Design: Podcast
One of the things that I love about blogging is the people that you ‘meet’ through it. One of the people that I met (both virtually and then in real life on a couple of occasions) is Yaro Starak - the guy behind the Blog Mastermind. The picture is from when we first met in Melbourne (where I live).
One of the things that Yaro and I have done on a number of occasions is record our conversations as podcasts. A couple of weeks ago we did another one - this time chatting about Blog Design.
You can listen to it here (total time is 41 minutes).

If possible, consider offering text highlights as an option.
Sometimes, one is in a situation where one can not listen to podcasts - but could benefit from getting a text summary

Some very useful stuff in this podcast. Thanks for the tips!
One thing I noticed is that you’ve mentioned your news letter. Even that you are not promoting it anymore is there still a way to subscribe to it?? I couldn’t find it on your site, but I probably overlooked it.

Darren, you guys are giving me so many tips. I’m just starting my blog and I’m really excited about growing my nich. Thanks for all the great advice and content. Sometimes I wanna put things in place right now… I need to just stick to the beginner’s stuff for now.

I just listened to the podcast. There are some great points in there that caused me to reconsider design aspects of my blog. Things to ponder… :)
Thanks!

I like your blog and read it every day, but could I have a suggestion? Could you please not to set every link leaving your page after click? Well, it’s a good way to increase traffic, but it’s better for some links to another new page, such as when linking to another social net page. Thanks!

This sounds like a great idea, especially since I have a music blog (interviews podcasts) but can you refer me to a post if one exists about the basics of doing podcasts? I mean starting from scratch. Are you just setting up a microphone on your computer to record? What kind of hosting for the files? etc.
That would be awesome. Thanks!
