I had a you tube account and it took me to http://www.youtube.com/my_adsense_players
and from there you customize an adsense player, theme, content and after it gives you the code to embed on your page… well there is where I get stuck, I’m not sure if I embed it into the template or just as a widget.
I appreciate any comments

There is a lot of talk online about this development.
I came across another way of monetising vids and not just YouTube ones – blinkx adhoc. Have any of you heard of it?

This sort of thing is better than having to view the ad before the actual clip shows. I think it’s a good move.

I’ve seen them a few times, and so far I have to disagree on the “not intrusive” bit. The same stupid ad kept coming up and covering the text of a subtitled video and I had to keep clicking the “x” every 5 or 6 seconds in order to see what was happening.

There have even been posts about a need for publishers to use the 300 X 250 rectangle format. But like some of the others all I have seen is adsense documents, nothing from or on youtube.

I.ve followed the links to my YouTube account page but can’t see any reference to adsense. It all seems a bit vague at the moment. Has anyone found anything more deffinate.

How about thenewsroom.com ? publisher can automaticly set to play the news video ads and embed it to the blog and get paid with CPM based.

It would be great if Google would let users who host their videos to use a special video player that wouldn’t link to YouTube but allow us to display Adsense ads.

I think that it’s how Scanscout works. Now if the big G decides to do that, count me in!

I think this is a lot better than what Google tried earlier by inserting ads into the content! Atleast now the ads are separate, and I think the best thing to do…

I like the approach which Google uses to monetize products. They keep it free for the users and help the advertisers by bringing better places to display ads… and in the process Google along with publishers make money!! Great going Google!!
