Brains run in conscious and unconscious realms. Since getting stumbleupon traffic is so easy it's almost mindless, why not get a bunch of it and over time you'll have new subscribers... Your blog can grow because of it if you focus on it - just not by the hundreds and thousands per month - it's a slower growth. I'm trying this strategy with some of my blogs.
