It's got the apple brand, so it's bound to sell. But way over hyped again with the must haves and paying 3X just to be first to have one. Already the ebay craze is starting to happen, with huge mark up. It's like the PS3 though, in a few months they'll have overstock and have to come down on the price.

frankly I wish something of some "significant" value would make headline news instead of what America is flocking to spend their money on.

I'm getting sick of hearing all about the iPhone too. The only way it can live up to all the hype is if it comes with a cure for cancer.

It is nice to know that not everyone online has gone crazy over one little gadget. Thanks for the great links. They are certainly better than yet another picture or tidbit about that which shall not be named.

Loved that video.

Lately, I've been receiving invites on myspace to be added to my page. Now I know why. :)

Thanks for the links. I will check out the speedlinking one. I have a book contest coming up and I think I may use that.

If anyone have any fresh ideas about hosting giveaways at their blog, hit me up. Come to think of it today's post maybe a question post so that I can work on A/R stuff.

First thanks for the great links as always, secondly thanks for avoiding the IPhone! It doesn't deserve the hype built up around it.

The video included was fun to watch as well, an all round informative post as usual.

I liked the conferences article. The “10 Mistakes” one was ruined by poor grammar. In fact, it inspired me to write a whole article on grammar.

Also, a few other posts have really influenced me to write. All of this stuff seems to get very repetitive to me. The more research I do, the more I figure out that everyone is starting to say the same thing, but in a different variation - like the “10 Mistakes” article. I think everyone has posted that one in some shape or form… I might have even posted something like that. Either way, this has basically changed my outlook on blogging. My resolution is to never restate all of the redundancies in web development (not that I did before).

I'm so sick of hearing about the iPhone. It doesn't seem like a great product at all. It's just backed by Apple hype.

Anything can be a great product if you don't give away any details. Just look at how popular the movie Snakes on a Plane became ;)

I will admit to being an iPhone fan i love hearing interesting stories not the same old crap we seem to get about it being multi-touch and that its an iPod. We all get it!

Which is why on my technology blog TechJuicer i have made a separate iPhoneJuicer blog just for iPhone stuff that i find interesting this then if people want to hear about the iPhone they can go to that blog.

Being a current employee for AT&T, i can say I am just glad that the iPhone day is over. However, usually the cool phones are found in Asia and Europe while the US is left drooling and waiting months for those phones. So it's nice to finally have a phone that everyone else drools about for once ... :-)

iwhat?

Sorry, I'm not that out of touch.

I'm just not that impressed - especially about people waiting in line just so they can be among the first ones to have it. More likely to be among the first ones to put it up for sale on ebay.

Liked the video clip.

The iPhone has to be one of the best marketing campaigns ever, what Apple have done is create an incredible following for a product before it was launched.

iPhone Mania, didn't do my Technology site any harm either, as someone decided, to post an article I had written about the iPhone on a very popular Apple forum.

My article then made frontpage news of that site, and brought me a load of traffic on the weekend and a lot of new readers, and RSS subscribers to my blog.

It is amazing what one article can do.

Don't you think that bloggers should be less mindless and post on more meaningful things such as charity? America is in the toilet and you aren't do your fair share to make it better. You are a journalist but not an activist. I would hate to be you.

Consider making a difference and make your next blog entry on something worth caring about. How about suggesting to your readers your favorite charity. Maybe some of them will even contribute...
