ProBlogger Goes Mobile

Posted By Darren Rowse 29th of June 2007 ProBlogger Site News 0 Comments

If you’re a blackberry user you can now follow ProBlogger via that device as a result of the network to which this blog belongs, b5media, Going Mobile. b5media now has over 200 blogs on a variety of topics – all of which can be read on the go from your blackberry. Other platforms will be supported in the future (I’m looking forward to being able to use my Nokia N95 at some point).

If you want to try Viigo to follow ProBlogger’s feed from your Blackberry you can get hooked up with everything you need to do it here. I’d love to hear how you find the experience.

Disclaimer – I’m a VP of b5media

  1. Hi Darren – I have an N95 as well, and it has a built in RSS reader. I read ProBlogger on my N95 all the time!

  2. I need one of those

  3. Very nice!
    Congrats!
Too bad I never use mobile web…

There’s a product called FreeRange that I use to read all my blogs on my N95. It’s much faster than the built in rss reader that comes with and has some good features.

  5. Hi,

I’d like to put a plug in for Opera Mini here :) I use a Nokia e61 for mobile web/RSS browsing for around an hour a day and find it really useful. Keeping an email to my gmail account open means that I can send a todo list to myself with a bunch of posting and other ideas for when I am near a full sized machine.

Bob – do you find that text entry on the N95 is fast enough? I’m pretty attached to the e61’s QWERTY keyboard – I’ve field tested Treo 650, Treo 750 and a couple of BlackBerry machines (a 77xx somethingorother and the Pearl) and still prefer the e61 – although the Treo 750 seems fairly useful. I won’t mention the iThing because it isn’t available here in Oz for another 6 months or more, but I will have a play with one when they come out.

When viigo is available for Symbian I will give it a try for sure.
    Cheers, Andrew

  6. Darren,

I’m curious to know what changes you had to do and why?

I’ve got Opera Mini on my phone and can browse my blog just fine without making any changes anywhere!! The blog runs on WordPress and has a theme of my own.
