What a great service guest blogger is, and as said before why did I not think of that for an idea.

I have found that a new injection and a new angle on a blog can really jolt the readership and if you get it right it can provide great results.

I think this is because regular readers scan and understand how you write – but when someone else adds content to your site the structure and rythem of the site changes, people notice, sit up and take note again.

it’s quite ironic that i made a comment on this particular post since the purpose of the post was to promote my web site and get more clicks.
i just read your post (after i posted my comment) and i see that you linked to “getting clicks from digg”. very ironic IMO

nice blog darren. i’ve been wondering how much a link in one of your posts is worth. each link you post probably gets clicked thousands of times. that must be worth a lot of money. could you put a figure on it?
PS – i’m not talking about adverts. i mean actual links in your posts.

Thanks for the comments… As to whether or not they read the comments, yes, we do! :) Thanks for the idea for adding categories.

I saw yours come up in the Home and Garden category and wasn’t sure why, now it makes sense! :) Anyway, I have a mental list of categories to add tonight, Real Estate is one of them…

I just signed up at guest blogger. I hope it grows fast. I think they should have a place you could suggest a category. My site http://www.realestateinvestorgirl.com didn’t fit exactly for any of the categories, so I went to Home and Garden. Investing doesn’t fit because the topic is usually stocks. I hope they read these comments.

Anyone else feel like the guest blogger idea just smacked them upside the head!
With all of th eguest blogging going on around the web, I can’t believe I didn’t think of developing that service. Great job by those who took the opportunity to fill the need!

Guest blogger seems a very interesting site especially for new bloggers like myself who want to get some good exposure for their new blogs. Writing good quality guest content for other blogs seems like an ideal way to get your name out there in the blogosphere…

Am I missing something? I’m not sure if I’m reading Amit right but it seems that writing about how hard it is to see who has favorited you.

After recent Technorati changes I found it hard to see my favorites until I discovered that if I click on the big orange heading “Reactions to The Journey – Rodney Olsen’s blog about life, faith and family” it takes me to a page titled “Everything in the known universe about The Journey – Rodney Olsen’s blog about life, faith and family”.

On that page I can see all who have favorited my blog and I can follow the links to their profiles.

I’m not sure if I’ve discovered the answer to the problem or if I missed the point. :)

I just found the Guest Blogger service via a link from eMoms and added both of my blogs to the list.

While maybe not so much with my personal blog but I have been kicking around the idea of using guest bloggers on my personal finance site. It should be interesting to see how this service grows.
