Well I finally arrived in San Francisco yesterday afternoon and have been bunkered down in the Elite Retreat bunker all day with some pretty cool people. For recaps on what’s going on you can check out a couple of bloggers who are blogging the sessions at Wendy’s blog here and here and Kris’s blog here and here.
I won’t replicate everything they’ve written (after all I’m on a blog break) but thought readers might enjoy keeping in touch with what’s going on.

My name is Darren Rowse and I’m a full time Blogger making a living from blogs like
I wish I could meet you there :(
Nice to see the update, Darren. I realize the benefits of face-to-face conferences won’t disappear any time soon, but I have been a little mystified by the way Elite Retreat has handled their publicity. Seems as if it would have been a perfect opportunity for a limited purpose “one time” blog, detailing more about how the idea came up, what went into organizing it, lessons learned before, during and after, thoughts on future directions, etc.
Not criticism you understand, blog fodder, Have a great retreat.
I think shoe is also going there???
Nice to see the update here. Of course had been reading the postings at the other blogs. Looks like there have been quite some interesting discussions.
Glad you made it safe and sound Darren (and X and V too!)!
Went through some of the aspects that are being covered in the Elite Retreat – but think the # of people running part time blogs are way higher than ‘full time blogger’. The number 1 problem for them is to break up the time available to all the things that need to be done in the available time…
nice to see it update
I plane to that as soon i have time
