That sounds okay... but I don't think I need a job right now. I'll keep that site in mind.

Its a great idea to have the job area in a blog with as much traffic as this. As mentioned before its a great money maker. But not only does it benefit the blogger it benefits the employers hugely. They get to advertise to many thousands of visitors of whom are actively seeking to enhance their own communities, showing they are intuitive, resourceful and have some valuable skills, websites or blogs and get the right person for the job at hand. :D

I've been making money off the job blog on my site for years, and it just got better with the new Indeed.com affiliate program. I've been posting jobs in one form or another since 1999, so I guess I'm an early adopter.

It makes sense and was bound to happen - both Lifehacker and Gizmodo do upwards of 2 million unique hits a day, why not give a little back. In doing so, they will end up gaining even more traffic. I don't think sites like Elance should be overlooked though, or some of the more popular forums out there like Web Hosting Talk.

Darren, I think blogs and jobs will just keep gaining steam over the next few years. I just launched a blog called JobsinPods.com that advertises Jobs via podcasts. Its a new twist onthis whole blog board thing.
