[...] I was halfway through this post, The Biggest Question Any Blogger Must Answer, when I thought, “This is such good stuff, easy to read, applicable…” I checked who the writer was, and, Who else? Tony Hung. I like to go to Problogger for blogging tips, but I don’t really find that it speaks to me personally. However, Darren Rowse made a contributor’s coup when he hired this guy. His writing really hits the spot for me. I think he might be guesting every Friday. Whatever the case, he recently did a week’s worth of writing for Problogger, and every post was a cracker. He has indexed those pages on his own blog, Deep Jive Interests. You can find them here: Index of Problogger Posts [...]

[...] Why would people come to your blog above all the others - its a great big internet out there, after all? As Tony Hung said at Problogger, “What is making my blog an indespensible read?“ That’s something only you can answer, but what I do is make sure I go the extra mile for my readers. If I’m writing about a band, say The Grates, I look on You Tube, I check last.fm, I see if they have a myspace page and/or an official web page, and so on. [...]

How did I do it?

I should start an e-book program

I can see it now:

"How a 22 year old anonymous blogger went from zero to media darling in just 24 hours.. how I did it and you can do it too! Just $45..."

Nah.

But it's a great story for other bloggers and internet people about how to get huge publicity. I want to get the story out to other bloggers but honestly don't know how... I'm more media savvy than blog savvy.

If any of the bloggers reading these comments wants to pick the story up I'd be happy to share it with someone. It's pretty incredible--- shows the value of taking initiative.

Alright! Branding is a concept I'm familiar with so I'm really looking forward to this series. :) I've been feeling a bit haphazard about my focus and while I enjoy blogging, time seems to slip through my fingers every day. Looking forward to all the tips!

Hey Tony

Hows this!

I started a website www.savethemexicanwave.com and within 1 hour was being interviewed on the radio

Within 24 hours:

6 radio stations
2 newspapers
1 television station

Have interviewed me. Now THAT's PR.
