I spent so much time in bookstores over the past few years that I decided to create my own amazon a-shop and use a blog to review books I have been reading. I also added related events and links to the authors. The site is getting more traffic in my first few weeks than my other established sites have done in two years.

Where feasible I have helped friends establish amazon shops and split commissions with them. A little work for me but a revenue stream I would not have had otherwise.

On collaboration my results have been mixed, but it greatly reduced the amount of writing I had to do. Finding an equally motivated partner is key to collaboration. Tensions can arise if one drops his/her responsibilities. I also opened a blog to guest writers and added content from other sources which led to other relationships.

I participate over at b5media as well as being a ClubMom blogger. I think ClubMom is more collaborative than most networks because we work together to promote each other through carnivals, contests, and just commenting on each others posts. I also participate in eMoms BlogJolt! The group hosts weekly “Jolts” in which the group members feature a chosen member blog to flood with traffic and inbound links. With both ClubMom and eMoms BlogJolt! , we use Yahoo Groups to communicate and coordinate efforts.

Sounds great actually, I am pretty surprised that I missed the piece of news today. Anyways I agree that networking is the key to success in almost every industry and there can be nothing better than having two or more people with different skill sets coming together in a joint-venture(idea).

Anyways I am sure there will be a lot of people craving to participate.

Darren, John Wesley of Pickthebrain.com and Travis Wright of Cultivate Greatness put together the Postive Blog Network. It's grown quite a bit in recent weeks. We collaborate on ideas, plans, and writing. I am very greatful that they asked me to join the network. It's been a great experience to work and learn for others in the genere.
