Group Writing Project Winners

Posted By Darren Rowse 22nd of September 2006 ProBlogger Site News 0 Comments

Thanks again for everyone who participated in this week’s Group Writing Project. I’ve just taken another look at the full finished list of 343 submissions and I’m more than satisfied with the week’s project.

It has been a lot of work to run but the quality of many of the posts submitted has been very high and I personally have found some great new blogs which I’ve added to my RSS feed.

There are many worthy winners of the prizes this week but there can only be 5. I’ve just randomly selected the following five people (using an online random number generator).

Congratulations to those whose lucky numbers came up and another big thank you to our sponsors.

  1. Hey Darren! This is my post for my favorite top 5 “how-to”s! Even though I didn’t win, I certainly gained from the experience, including some good contacts. Thanks for the fun! thus spoke churchpundit!

  2. Darren, great competition. I didn’t win the holiday in Spain, but I did pick up some new readers to my blog. I will definitely be participating again.

  3. Wow, thanks for the extra traffic Darren, and a lot of great reads!

Thanks to Marcus for the expression engine license, as well. I’ve never explored that package before, but I have a project coming up that would be perfect for it. Very good timing!

I’m glad that I finally found the time to participate in one of these projects.

  4. Hi Darren! This was my first time participating in your group writing project, and the interaction was wonderful. Thanks for taking the time to pull this thing together.

  5. Congrats to the winners! Erin, I assume Darren will send you my email.

It was a pleasure sponsoring such a fun group writing project. Keep up the great work Darren!

  6. Congratulations to the winners! Once again, this whole thing has been a blast. I can’t wait for the next one.

  8. Congratulations winners!!
Thanks Darren for starting such a wonderful project. :)

  9. This is the first time I have joined to this group writing competition and I would say its awesome. Looking forward to more such events in the future.

btw, congratulations to all the winners.

  10. Wowee! I don’t know what to say…never expected to win a prize! Last time I won a prize I was 8 years old. It was a flashlight at a Girl Scout BBQ. That was good, but this is better :-)

Isn’t Darren the best for organizing these projects for us? He gives us a great opportunity to discover new blogs, and a wonderful chance to practice and get feedback on our own writing. Thanks, Darren!

Thanks for the nice wishes, Tony, but I’ll be going for the iPod (I melt in the sun). Many thanks to New Homes and all of the other sponsors for their generosity.

  11. Thanks Darren for the great contest.

The extra traffic is great, but more important was the great opportunity to network with some great minds.

    Job well done everybody!

  12. […] Well Do remember to check out the winners here […]

  13. Always a fun project and the additional traffic is always welcomed over the few days of the “Group writing project.” Hopefully some of the readers will be retained but as always I look forward to the next one.

Great job to everyone how participated and gave me some excellent reading material.

  14. Congrats to all the winners!

  15. Congrats to all the winners!

The posts provided great reading material & introduced me to some blogs that are really going to help me out in the long run. Thanks Darren!

  16. Congratulations to all that won – very deserving!

Thanks Darren for organizing a great “writing project”. Although I didn’t win, I had fun doing it, picked up some great blog finds and had good traffic come my way. Certainly had a good read too with the many interesting, intriguing and humorous postings. I do have my own top 10 favorites (http://thefoologs.com/2006/09/22/friday-hodge-podge-92206/ ). I will certainly participate in future ones.

To Darren, tks for organizing a great contest, it was a deep and varied field, and i still haven’t had a chance to read all the entries yet.

It’ll be good source materials to blog on over the next couple of days.

I had a number of good comments from other participants at http://www.whoisandrewwee.com/105/10000-in-your-list-in-30-days-andrew-wee-goes-guerilla/#comments, though I think the number was affected by my procrastinating on getting my entry out

    for dropping by.
    Let’s share the link love!

(Note to self: waiting till thursday to start is neither good for the nerves nor traffic!)

My gosh, my favourite five. i think i can barely keep it to a dozen.

Like they say, when everyone wins…everyone wins!

    Heh.

PS: If you didn’t win anything this round, I just did a check, and still have more free copies of the bestsellers available at: http://www.whoisandrewwee.com/freebook.php.
Maybe you didn’t win a prize this time, but your copy of “Multiple Streams of Internet Income” could get you $18,000 or maybe even $180,000.

Come help me build a list of 10,000, I still have 25 days to go!

    :)

    Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

  21. […] In the spirit of Problogger’s Group Writing Contest, I think including a link to your own post entered in the same contest is fine. We’re all proud of the articles we’ve written and we want others to read them. There’s nothing wrong with this at all. […]

  22. […] There was also a contest associated with the group writing project. Five random articles were chosen to receive one of the prizes, and I managed to win a license to Expression Engine. Not too bad for only having a 1.5% chance of winning anything. […]
