Group Writing Project Winners
Thanks again for everyone who participated in this week’s Group Writing Project. I’ve just taken another look at the full finished list of 343 submissions and I’m more than satisfied with the week’s project.
It has been a lot of work to run but the quality of many of the posts submitted has been very high and I personally have found some great new blogs which I’ve added to my RSS feed.
There are many worthy winners of the prizes this week but there can only be 5. I’ve just randomly selected the following five people (using an online random number generator).
- Lori from Better English wins a weeks complimentary stay at a beach front apartment in Estepona on the Costa del Sol Spain which was kindly donated by New Homes on Nubricks.com. Lori’s post was Proofread like a pro: how to catch those pesky mistakes your spell checker misses.
- Erin from Behind the Scenes wins $100 Cash (in your paypal account) OR a month long text link in the Webmaster-Talk.com forums. Erin’s post was The Solopreneur’s Guide to Delegation.
- Blaine from Run to Win wins a Personal license for ExpressionEngine including a personal license for the forums module (worth $149). This prize is sponsored by Marcus from Nanoblogs.de. Blaine’s post was One simple knot that keeps your shoes tied.
- Kent from Newsome wins a $149 yearly plan to Audible.com OR a $100 gift voucher to iTunes (your choice). This gift has been donated by Google Tutor. Kent’s post is How to Convert LPs to MP3s.
- Lucy from Free From wins a $200 gift voucher from Amazon which was donated by OwnMySeat.com. Lucy’s post was How to survive the first year of living gluten free.

Thanks to Marcus for the expression engine license, as well. I’ve never explored that package before, but I have a project coming up that would be perfect for it. Very good timing!

Wowee! I don’t know what to say…never expected to win a prize! Last time I won a prize I was 8 years old. It was a flashlight at a Girl Scout BBQ. That was good, but this is better :-)
Isn’t Darren the best for organizing these projects for us? He gives us a great opportunity to discover new blogs, and a wonderful chance to practice and get feedback on our own writing. Thanks, Darren!

Always a fun project and the additional traffic is always welcomed over the few days of the “Group writing project.” Hopefully some of the readers will be retained but as always I look forward to the next one.

Thanks Darren for organizing a great “writing project”. Although I didn’t win, I had fun doing it, picked up some great blog finds and had good traffic come my way. Certainly had a good read too with the many interesting, intriguing and humorous postings. I do have my own top 10 favorites (http://thefoologs.com/2006/09/22/friday-hodge-podge-92206/ ). I will certainly participate in future ones.

To Darren, tks for organizing a great contest, it was a deep and varied field, and i still haven’t had a chance to read all the entries yet.
