Ahh well, as quickly as it came, it went away. I have no idea why, but the story is no longer listed on Digg. It was #2 on the week’s most popular but something happened and it has disappeared.

I can’t find it ANYWHERE. I guess it must have been buried.

Traffic has plummeted.

Lesson: enjoy it while it’s there, but don’t count on it.

Sure was a fun couple of days…

While my site hasn’t had nearly the increase in visitors that Tony has experienced, I have had a nice little bump as a result of the writing project. For that I have to thank Darren and ProBlogger.

Wow, what a day I’ve had. Darren was kind enough to include my entry into the project last night.

I woke up this morning to 33,000 visitors. Someone (I can only imagine one of the readers of this blog) Dugg the story on Digg.com and it has been on the Most Popular page most of the day.

By the time the day ended, I had almost 60,000 unique visitors to my humble site.

I can’t thank you enough Darren, and the kind reader who Dugg it. I never imagined such traffic.

I’m trying to get a brand new, very tiny site noticed, and you’ve all helped beyond my wildest dreams. I’m in the process of putting links on that page to those posts in this project I’ve particularly liked and are somehow related to astronomy.

Thank you so much Darren and ProBlogger readers! Please let me know how I can pay it forward.

BTW, The comments on Digg about the article are way funnier than anything I could have come up with, you should check ‘em out if you get the chance. There are some smart and funny people on that site.

In terems of the budget globe trotting one they gave me the link I’ve used but it looks like an advanced post which isn’t live yet. Hopefully it’ll actually be published soon enough and the link will work fine.

I’m not sure why people submit links that are not active yet (it happens every project I run).
