Speaking of niches, qobble.com allows you to set up a free niche blog-network really quickly. There are some over there already that people have set up, just to get an idea of what is possible.

Hi all,

I would add a few thoughts to the list:

- find a new approach to an existing problem or topic
- find a unique style of writing or publishing (even if you are discussing a widely known subject)
- create a "sub-topic" of an already discussed topic, and discuss it in new depth.

I think these can all be possible tactics of creating successful niche products or blogs.

I've always find it difficult to choose a blog topic since I can't seem to settle for one my self. My interest shifts from month to month and it has caused me some blogging frustrations, but I'm getting the hang of it. The video was a great one, kudos to Tubetorial.

[...] How do I come up with an idea for a niche website? I get that question once or twice a week. Others talk about it far more often. This has been around for a while, but I’ve never mentioned it. I don’t see too many other people mentioning it either. Google Current is a frequently published video on Current TV which highlights specific hot topics (ones that are currently being searched for a lot on Google). It’s a treasure trove for people looking for a popular niche to build a website around. Some of the topics may be overly competitive, or inappropriate to build a website around, but many of the topics would suit your needs. Some of the topics are very new, and you could see the potential of becoming a first-mover in the subject. Happy hunting! 9:22 am | [...]

Hi Darren. You're absolutely right that the process for choosing a blog topic and a topic for an information product are one and the same.

And as we know, having a blog is one of the ideal ways to market an information product, so the topic selection process works on two levels.

Hi Darren.
Wanted to write this as a comment instead of an email for all your other readers too -

What's the deal with the BlogJob board ads going over your google ads?

well blogs are no different than having an actual shop just in the sense that blogs exsist in the virtual world and a shop exsists in the real world meaning in a phyical world. I haved a brutal truth that you can write as many posts you want but if you are not meeting your readers needs then they will discard whatever you write. So I am on a mission to produce authentic piece of works and deliver it faster and better than all the other competing blogs in my sphere of business.
