The exclusive areas seem like a bad idea. Isn’t the net supposed to be about sharing this kind of thing? About equal access? I can see the point in wanting to get away from the kind of 2-bit hucksters that a forum like this might attract, but I don’t think building walls can be the answer.

What if they let you pay to join the exclusive areas, while still letting in successful businesspeople for free? It might be worth it to a lot of people to get access to those discussions.

Andy – once you’ve logged in the second section down is ‘Applications for Promotion (Private)’ – information for applying for those areas is in there.

thanks for the tip Darren, this will become (already has i think) a great reasource for bloggers.

i too wonder about the private income related groups. i think it adds an element of suspicion to an otherwise friendly forum. is there really any legit reason for the private rooms?
