coComment Adds New Features

coComment has announced an update to their blog comment tracking system. The improvements include:

  • The cocoCrawler - keeps an eye on your conversations for you
  • Track This Conversation - track conversations even if you don’t participate in them
  • Meta Conversation - Lets you comment on a web page that has no built-in comment functionality
  • New Interface, Site Structure and Navigation - new home page and stuff
  • Try the Service without Registering - try before you give them any information
  • Filtering of Conversations - filter conversations by type
  • Other new features - including five languages, capture-compatible platforms (including YouTube) etc

It seems like the developers of coComment have been listening to their users and adding features. I’ve not used coComment myself but know of a few readers of ProBlogger who do - I’d be interested in hearing some reviews of what your think of the new features.

    I stopped using coComment because it was useless to me as what I really wanted was to be able to know if someone answered my comments. Now it seems it has been added to the list of features, so I may re-initiate the firefox extension :)

    I love cocomment. I’d often forget where I’d commented, so I used it to remind me of all the posts I’d commented on.

    Now, thought it will be insanely more useful since I won’t actually have to navigate to all those sites just to see if there are any new comments.

    I’d like to think that between the cocomment updates and my rss reader, I’ll now save hours upon hours of time, but in reality, I’ll probably just read and comment on even more blogs.

    I love cocomments and the new features are great especially it tracking all comments for posts that you choose it to even if the commenters don’t use it.

    Ducan: It would be more interesting if you were to explain why you have that opinion. Without it your comment is stupid and iirealevent (see negitivity is more useful when you explain why).

    Darren, thanks for the hat tip, as always. I’ve taken a page from your book by pooling together 22 different responses to the new coComment and adding my own thoughts to the mix. I also went out on a limb and challenged you to try it for seven days to see if you like it. If you think it’s useless, just let me know and my coveted Yoda PEZ dispenser, symbol of my Know More Media bloggerhood, will be yours :).

    Hi Darren,
    I have to say, I love it when cocomment first started and I just absolutel love the new features x 2. :) I am sure they’ll come up with more neat surprises.
