I don’t recommend the Starter Edition and neither do many others who are very familiar with Google AdWords. Richard Ball has an excellent article that explains the disadvantages in his Apogee Weblog at http://www.apogee-web-consulting.com/blogger/2006/12/do-not-sign-up-for-google-adwords.html

Yes, it's a great way for AdSense publishers to try AdWords. And once you get a feel for AdWords, be sure to "graduate" to the regular system so that you can gain access to the keyword and traffic tools AdWords provides (see Plumb AdWords for keywords).
