I was just trying to clear up whether it was worth using iframes for the benefit of SEO, as in my mind it won’t have any effect. It’s a great idea though, and I think these sort of tools, however they might be implemented, are great ways of promoting your site.

There is a lot of discussion about how iframes actually work with SEO. It’s not so much an SEO exercise but a traffic puller.

e, if you can find all the results on the official website before I’ve got them up then it’ll be a miracle.

Can I just bring up the fact that as this tool is included as an iframe, the links in the table will be seen as being from the same breakingnewsblog domain, not the site where it is featured, as far as i can tell.

So the benefits for SEO in terms of backlinks will only come from people talking about the tool, not from having the tool on their site, from what I can see.

Is that the case?

actually I disagree ‘e’ – I find that blogs like this one actually are useful because their bloggers spend hours looking through different sites for interesting news to report and then collate it all together. This way readers don’t have to spend hours looking for the information that they want – they come to one place and are sent to the kind of news that they want.

I guess it’s a matter of preference but I know a lot of people use those blogs to follow the news in their area of interest. Others will find their news other ways.

Hold on… Darren, how can you promote these garbage blogs like this one found on the breakingnewsblogs.com network! How can you not click on an ad? You have created a bunch of bloggers with get-rich-quick mentalities, polluting the internet with regurgitated information infested by AdWords and Citika ads.

Yeah, this is a rant, but seriously think about this for a second. Who reads wants read a blog with 50% ad coverage.

Blogging is headed in a downward spiral and you are helping it by encouraging crap like this.

Stop the internet pollution.

That was very cool as was the fact that it had the message electronically appear on the screen next to her. The only disappointment (understandable, but still disappointing), was that she pulled out a paper version of the speech!

Very cool how the Queen’s baton contained a GPS in it so its progress around the world could be tracked online.
