AdSense confirms 180 day Referrals Time Limit

Adsense 2 comments

More AdSense news (they do like to make all their changes and announcements on the one day):

The official AdSense Blog have confirmed that the referral program is now operating on a 180 day time limit (an extension from 90 days). The change is retroactive.

PS: of course we reported this over a week ago thanks to an email tip off from Tom.

  • I wish they would have another option for people who can’t get as many “powerful” referrals. When they do get people, pay them a modest amount…like $1/download of the firefox bar. This way they won’t feel bad for not getting a bonus if the referral falls a bit short of the $100.

  • I’m still a bit upset that they changed the rules on this along the way at all – but 180 days is better than 90 I guess.

I finally had my first conversion in the last week or so – but I suspect that many of those I’ve referred will never get to a level to see me earn the $100 within the 180 period.
