I would like to see a post on how to analyze stats. What kind of conclusions can one draw for them?
The first question I asked when I was new to blogging (and I hapened to ask you about it and got a quick reply) was where one could blog for free and still run ones owns ads. Maybe there are some other newbies that would like to know that too.

There is a lot of advice out there on how to start a blog, how to write a blog, how to attract readers and raise traffic, even how to make some money blogging, but I have not found yet a good piece of advice on how to quit blogging. Blogs come and go. The best ones sometimes quit. So I wrote one myself: <a href="http://sciencepolitics.blogspot.com/2006/02/proper-procedure-for-shutting-down.html" title="" / rel="nofollow">Proper Procedure For Shutting Down A Blog</a>.

Blogging for beggginers??

Is so hard to signup on blogspot and start blogging? the good content its what makes a blog valuable, not the (stupid, cof) "blogging skills".

The time has come, in wich you could become famous by teaching how to improve your "skills" using a... err... microwave(or something) .

the minds are getting smaller, sad...

I'd like an explanation about some things regarding stats on my site - what do certain terms mean to me, such as pages, visits, hits, visitors? I'm sure other newbies like me would like help in this area! Thanks Darren.

I believe there was a start to this question on the last article you posted but I would really like to know if there is a standard for keeping stats and what is the most trusted service by advertisers looking at blogs.

I would imagine when people build enough traffic and want to go solicit advertisers or advertisers want to solicit them they want to see reliable stats.

Which brings me to thinking that someone should promote a web standard stat service. Looks like site meter is a good choice but.... well that's another topic.

Just thought stats and reliability would be a good add to the list.

Aloha,
