Thanks to Grant for emailing me a picture of the AdSense Christmas Gift for some publishers. (Click to enlarge). It is a:
- carrying case with embossed google logo. zipper closure
- wireless mini mouse, with scroll wheel
- usb charger for mouse with retractable cord
- usb 4 port hub
- usb gooseneck led light
- 128mb usb flash drive with wrist strap
- headset with retractable cord. has two plugs (one for mic and one for earbud) so it is for a computer, not a mobile phone.

Damn, so close with the google branded mp3/podcast player!
Looks pretty funky though, so I got that bit right.

Does anyone know what kind of earnings do you have to have to get this schwag?

Weirdly, I got both this AND a New Years card from Google.
Even stranger, though, is that at least in my gift package, there was no note of any sort… so I had no idea which division of Google I had gotten the gift from (AdWords? AdSense? Urchin, since I scored ‘em a contract when they were charging $?)
It’s such a thoughtful and cool gift, indeed, but it would have been even that much nicer to see a small typed and (photocopily) signed note from the AdSense team thanking us for our contributions… if only so we’d know where it came from! :)
Oh, and I don’t necessarily think the gift is sent out based purely on earnings. Mine have been *quite* modest, and though I recently wrote a love/re-commitment letter to AdSense, I’m guessing that I got the gift due to being with AdSense practically since the start :)

I got my kit, awesome.
I do agree with Adam, if I had not seen this post, I would have had no idea why I got this in the mail. I could have assumed, but with no note in the box, I never would have known for sure.

Addendum:
I just learned that the gift I got was from my ADWORDS rep after all, not AdSense. So I guess it’s a general-purpose gift :)

I got a simplified version -
The mouse is not wireless, the flash drive is 64MB, no headset…
Still very cute :-)
I got 2 cards (1 for Adwords & 1 for Adsense?) and no indication from which the gift was…

[…] I’ve now got a Google t-shirt (”I’m feeling lucky” is on the back), Google pens and a Google card. I was wondering what other Google items exist because Darren over at Problogger recently showed a picture of the Adsense Christmas gift that went out to some of the biggest publishers and then I found…. Google Store which I never knew existed. You can now brand everything - from baby’s first clothing to dog’s leashes - with Google. […]
