Audi Finds that Blog Advertising is Cost Effective

Advertising 7 comments

A recent Blogads.com campaign by Audi brought about some pretty staggering results with 29% of traffic to their Audi A3 promotional website coming from BlogAds. The amazing part is that the BlogAds cost were just 1.5% of their total ad spend for the campaign. Now THAT is a good return on investment!

  • I think you meant Audi, not Audio. Correct?

  • Hmm, the article actually says 0.5% of the ad spend ;-)

  • So this tells me that 1) currently bloggers aren’t getting their moneny’s worth from the advertising and 2) hopefully big companies like this will start to bid up the price of ads on blogs.

Whether this is good or bad, I’m not sure. Thoughts?

  • I hope the word on this gets out, the more money companies put into advertising on blogs the better off we’ll all be.

  • I don’t think blogs are getting their money’s worth because we don’t know what that is. There is such a wide range of sites/blogs and the advertisers…how do we gauge what our advertising space is worth unless you’ve sold advertising before?

  • Could be because it’s easier to click an ad when you are already online than to get up while watching tv, boot up the computer, type in a site (if you remember it still), and check out the site. Who am I kidding, noone’s getting up from the couch while watching TV to pull up the Audi site. LOL
