Aaron has just been sued for content in comments left on his blog. This could be a precedent setting case that could have massive ramifications upon bloggers.

This sort of situation was bound to occur at one stage. Blogs and bloggers are part of society’s that have laws in place and blogs and bloggers are not immune from those laws.

A month ago the site http://www.jujuy.com from Argentina had to paid $18,000 usd for a anonymous comment made on the site.
This was a great shock for all latin-american sites (and specially for the blogs), because it was the first time any thing like that happened.
So beside taking care of the spam comments, we have to be aware of all the comments in our blogs.
This is sad.
Especially if you do a search on the company doing the sueing…
