I originally setup my personal blog to drop random Shakespeare references I found in the wild (like on Simpsons episodes). But as I got bored I'd also write about American Idol, my kids, and so on. And before I knew it the Shakespeare was just getting in the way. People coming in from google on American Idol searches are not going to click on Shakespeare ads. So I created a dedicated Shakespeare blog and I get a much higher hit rate because of it. I'm still working on how to get people to bookmark what I write there, though :). I am disappointed that Blogger does not offer an automatic ping service. I concur totally on the “target your audience” thing.
