Unfortunately (as a long time low-carber and RSS reader of Carbwire for almost a year), most of Carbwire is about product announcments when all the food manufacturers got onto the bandwagon, and MANY of them have dropped off. Someone adopting the low-carb lifestyle and landing there will be full of disappointement when every product they find has been discontinued. I reckon anyone trying to sell a site will ask for a lot more than it is actually worth. It's better to find a hobby type site that doesn't have much advertising. You can pick up some bargains. Some small players have no idea what their site is worth. Especially if they don't run Adsense. The asking price seems quite high. Seriously though the timing isn't that bad. There are STILL a lot of people that need to loose weight on Atkins. The Chapter 11 isn't a problem with the Atkins diet but a problem with the Atkins money. Atkins is a genius. I'd LOVE to have someone buy carbwire and blog on it often. Yeah.
