I can see it’s by manipulating the URL, but wondering if the /2004/06 type thingy has anything to do with it as well.

Thanks for clarifying things. I think it helps now that you’ve put it into perspective. Like others, I couldn’t tell if you were serious or not because I had never read your blog til now.

I’d be PO’d too but more scared about how others would view me if I had actually gone through with that.

Thanks for everyone’s thoughts. I’ve been unbelievably stressed. These are actually two of the smaller shitty things that have happened lately. The main purpose of that post was to vent.

Obviously, I had doubts about whether to mention their names or even do this at all. Given everyone’s feedback and some advice from a friend, I am reconsidering it.

There are certainly larger injustices in the world. Even though, this is a pretty big one in mine, I guess I should put it in perspective.

I can understand his frustration, the thought of having my host disapear without warning scares the pants off me enough to run and do a back-up. If he was serious though I am sure he would have done it by now.

Allen makes a very good point in that once those posts are posted, it is permanent, at least in Google’s eyes. The cache does exist, even if you don’t want it to exist, it will exist in that form.

I also agree with you two that his attitude stinks. Personally, I wouldn’t want to do business with someone who acts like a 2 year old.

If your a professional, act like one, but don’t spill your dirty laundry all over your blog. It just looks so amateurish.

‘Eye for an eye’, or ‘two wrongs don’t make a right?’

Feeling angry and frustrated is one thing, taking revenge is another.

The tone indicates, like heat says, someone who is proud of the fact that he can easily bring harm to someone elses interests.

I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on what course of action he takes, and to see if the moral high ground is taken, or if he descends down to their level.

I think it’s sad that a man with such a big (net) power would use this power, and abuse the ethical behaviour on the net to revenge.

Maybe he has the right to, but he sounds like someone who is proud of making a very harmful step that will surely harm those 2 companies, but also raise a big question mark on this man morality and ethical standarts…

I just hope he realizes the power he has in his hands, once those posts will be up, there is no way out.
